Baki the grapler is a good example of this as well I feel like. The graplers just want to fight and so they do. They put their mind and body into it and just chase the goal to be the strongest. They form some relationships between themselves and have a community. I now realised - there is not one female fighter! The show has little female characters and I love the fact. Yes, the storyline is lacking a little and it gets repetitive but imo it is still worth it.

On the other hand his mother owes him an apology and explanation. It is her responsibility for cheating. She fucked up and when shit hit the fan she collapsed. The "dad" was straight forward from the beginning and he took care of two of his children plus the third one until the age 18. The kid's mom should solve this situation imo. She should get back on track now and resolve the situation as best as she can.
