I’ll never trust a man that dates young women. I dated a 32 year old when I was 20 and thought it was just because he found me attractive and mature but that’s a lie, they date younger because you’re easier to manipulate than women their age. Be careful ladies!

Ah yes, a guy that wants a woman to be loyal to him despite his commitment issues so he’s free to to do whatever he wants but would likely get upset if she did the same.

Good for her!! He sounds extremely weird and insecure, hopefully he decides to stay single.

It’s so sad that this is “normal” to men. You can’t even tell them that they’re not normal for doing these things on relationship subreddits without being torn apart, it’s so sad that their addiction means that much to them. I hope this girl dumps him, he’s not worth a second more of her time.

It’s so cringe how men are so open with just taking money from women, why is it so common for men to be so bad with money?

I wish I knew this just a few years ago. If he does this, RUN. A man will call his ex crazy after emotionally terrorizing her and then her not putting up with it anymore. They love to play the victim

Absolutely not, these are common red flags in many relationships that I think get overlooked which is why I decided to bring them up. In a world where it’s normalized for men to be porn sick and lazy in every aspect of their life, those qualities are very important to me. He goes above and beyond and spoils me in every aspect but a guy can do those things and still be sexist which is why I chose those values to speak on.

My boyfriend is hygienic, he cooks and cleans and did so long before a relationship. He also doesn’t watch porn and has healthy and realistic expectations when it comes to sex. Doesn’t have “crazy exes” and doesn’t talk bad about women in general. He was also extremely supportive when I was going through my military sexual trauma Edit: by “crazy exes” I mean he doesn’t call all his exes crazy or doesn’t even talk bad about them. That’s a big red flag.

I love this. The whole idea that men that are married and have a family are “good” is so flawed. There’s way too many cheating husbands and absent fathers in this world

In all seriousness though, this is actually a really good list of red flags ladies. Never settle!

Absolutely! Your mom is a smart woman! I dated a man from a different unit than me and he would always tell me how “dependas” are trash and cheat on their men while they are on deployment then he turned around and cheated on me with four women and gave me an infection. Military men are true psychos, not to mention after that I was assaulted by two different sergeants who guess what, had wives! Never ever again

THIS. I was in the Army and the men in it are awful. Just like you said they always joke or complain about “Jody” not realizing that they are the ones with the issues. I can’t tell you how many men I saw that had girlfriends sneaking women in and out of the barracks during the weekends, it’s disgusting. Not to mention they shit on the “barracks bunnies” for being “easy and gross” but they are the ones that sleep with them.

Good for her honestly, love to see a woman that doesn’t lower her standards!

Oh how I love how they like to enforce these ridiculous gender roles. They could never be like the Vikings, they like to say they want to be head of their household and make all the decisions when they can’t even work a washing machine.

We all know he is an unkept man who likely can’t even wipe his own butt. Where do they get this confidence from?

I feel like men want to be the ones to validate if we feel beautiful or not. Dated a man that would give me compliments all the time but whenever I would say I thought I looked sexy or would post pictures saying I felt pretty he would get pissed off that I was being “self centered” then proceeded to say I’m not as hot as I think I am. I really think it’s a form of control, they want to decide how you feel about yourself

Because men like to believe women reject them due to their height or physical appearance when in reality they have nothing to offer yet think they are gods gift to women

Exactly! And men love to victimize themselves with that statement, they’ll cry “a girl can lose weight but I can’t become taller” like okay, then maybe become a decent person then a women might want you

He’s in the comments raging that he acts this way because women won’t “give him a chance” I wonder if he gives women he doesn’t find attractive a chance? Not likely. I see so many times where men act like babies for being rejected by a girl that knows she’s way too good for him. I was thinking, do you guys think the media feeds into this? So many shows or movies always portray a very attractive woman dating a less than desirable man

No, I just heard from US soldiers that’s what the afghan army does to civilians. I’ve never deployed so I don’t really know but considering there’s been scandals of American men doing it( there was a video that was posted online) then I’m sure they do as well. I’m sure it happens in every military

Absolutely! I know someone in the air force and at joint bases oversees they sometimes aren’t allowed to do certain things because Marines rape the women in the surrounding city

I’m so sorry you had such a bad experience! I totally understand everything you went through, I feel so many of us go through this in the military. Especially when you’re new to the base all the men you work with just trying to get with you and see how far they can go. Leadership just looks the other way or they abuse their power to force themselves on you. If this was in a civilian workplace it’d be a different story but the military has its own rules it plays by and I hope that bill they’re tr…

Yeah they refer to many wives as “dependa” because they believe they are just doing it for benefits or act high and mighty because they might have a high ranking spouse but I don’t know many military spouses. And I have heard of those stories! i think it’s mostly a threat for new enlisted because it’s easy to trap them because they usually sleep with a lot of women

Thank you so much! And absolutely! I truly believe at least a few people that worked with them knew. And it’s so weird that everyone they interviewed just knew nothing

This is so true. I have a degree in nursing but I came from a really bad childhood and wanted to “do something bigger than myself” to feel like my life wasn’t a waste and now I know I’m much better than what the military has to offer.

I hate how other military women turn around and act like nothing bad happens because it didn’t happen to them.

Oh how I know many men like him. Funny thing is to most men in the military they probably believe sexual assault doesn’t happen because so many women are scared to report or are told not to. And in my prime I was almost maxing out PT scores where some men would be too hungover or just lazy and failed. I believe they just can’t stand women can do their job because the military was the last thing men had to hold onto to feel special.

That’s the whole reason that base is trying to “do better” in reality if the Guillen family wasn’t as courageous and persistent about this commanders at Fort Hood would do nothing

From what I’ve heard from other male soldiers I know I think it’s everywhere, I’ve heard things about the afghan army raping civilians(United States does this there too) I’m not sure about Sweden or other countries I just know middle eastern armies aren’t good

That’s so heartbreaking! I hate that I’m no longer shocked by the things that go on in the military, and yeah the military doesn’t really recognize military sexual trauma so I couldn’t get that included in my disability, just ptsd

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
