THIS. So much all of this. Please, women of the world, if you think your workplace is going to fall apart if you don’t pick up the slack… LET IT. Do your job and go home. Don’t be their maid.

This is how they always were. Our grandmothers, great grandmothers, great great grandmothers, etc experienced the same shit. Their stories were buried and their voices were not taken seriously. The nature of men hasn’t changed, but hopefully we can keep our stories uncovered now with the internet connecting women of all ages and all countries. We can finally see that we are experiencing the same crap everywhere.

I don't know if it's women just catching on. The average woman is not naive. I think a lot of women keep these ideas internalized due to fear of retaliation. Seeing the community size of FDS is giving more women courage to speak out on Reddit.

He has 0 empathy. I would rather not exist if it meant my oldest ancestors wouldn't have been r*ped. But no, the ancient women running through his blood mean nothing to him but a means to his own narcissistic existence.

Yes. I commented on another sub about this. There is a reason our foremothers fought so hard for our right to be paid. Do I think stay at home moms should be paid for their work? Yes. But we are not there yet. By giving up an income, these women are giving up a safety net.

I also only ever see men encouraging their dogs to chase cats or other animals hoping they'll get to see their dog k*ll something I've seen this too and it hurts my soul. A week or so ago, there was a lot of discussion about not dating guys who hate cats because it's a sign that a guy only takes in a relationship. While I agree, the above is another big reason for me. I don't trust men who love dogs but hate cats. I'm all or nothing. Either you like both/dislike both or you're out of my life. (E…

Power and control. By the time most women hit 30, we've seen enough shit to not tolerate their indiscretions.

I'm stuck at the part where a 40 year old is giving a 37 year old a promise ring instead of an engagement ring. I hope she wakes up.

Any man who "plays devil's advocate" has a superiority complex that typically translates to believing women are naturally beneath him. Any of whatever these kids are on about 'alpha' 'sigma' 'simp' Referring to grown women as girls. The word "bitch" or "bitching" ON ANY OCCASION. If a man calls another woman this, he sees you exactly the same way the moment you disagree with him. As someone who looks younger than I am, I notice the tone change when they realize I'm older than they thought. They …

They don't care. A lot of men love doing the whole overprotective male act when it makes them look good, but when push comes to shove, they don't intervene.

Is this an 18 year old who got out of fighting and is now trying to pick up war widows? Lol. I understand the sentiment of him saying he has land and wants to provide compared to men (or kids in his case) today, but I don't know if this is the way. Your great, great, great grandmas would never.

If a man calls himself a feminist, ask for a list of the guys he knows that say terrible things about women when it's "just the boys". You'll get silence and learn that there are no male feminists.

Please don't downplay the women who came before. It's what men do to divide us. There were all female spaces, but reddit banned them. This latest feminist push started around 5 years ago.

Always. If there's a 5+ age gap on any of these question/advice subs, the husband is almost always at fault. Unless they had a whirlwind 6-month dating to marriage, she was barely an adult when she fell into a relationship with him.

I went to see this last night and I loved it! Two powerful women (who unapologetically call themselves brilliant) going toe to toe, taking no shit from anyone. I was so happy that there wasn't a love story! I am a bit biased because Cruella was always my favorite villain, but I recommend seeing it to anyone who is on the fence.

Right? I hate that one of the top comments is a guy thinking he's going to get out of the sex strike because he has a vasectomy. Like, no. The strike isn't solely about avoiding pregnancy. It is a demand for change and for all men to change. They want to treat women like one homogeneous group, well, we can throw it back at them. I was in another feminist community during the Kavanough call for a sex strike and the amount of women who said that they wouldn't go on a sex strike because their men w…

We need to start an accountability group. I feel like I've been in/out of OLD addiction for the last 2 years. Unfortunately, each time I joined I was doing it because I liked the attention and had some weird made-up Hallmark brand love story I made up in my head telling me my "true love" was on a gross swipe app.... But the apps are deleted now and THEY WILL STAY DELETED.

And this is one of the biggest reasons I'm childfree. I tell people it's because of the environment and late-stage capitalism because it's less upsetting, but we all saw this coming a mile away. While I want to make this world a better place for future girls, it's too upsetting to worry about raising daughters around these PA boys.

I've had two different men ask me if I could pay my share after a handful of dates. I went along with it and said sure and then... Neither ever let me pay. But they still tried to guilt trip me about it. When I called one of them out, he said his pride wouldn't allow me to pay.

I was so upset by Westworld and only made it through about half of the first season. It hits way too close to the male fantasy. I side-eye any woman who says she likes Westworld or Game of Thrones. And to a more extreme, I have a distrust of any woman who read GoT and still likes it. The show at least tried to hide a lot of the underage fantasies of the author.

When men say women are gossips they are projecting their flaws onto women. Men are the worst. It's why I get so annoyed with men at work. They always have a blood fued with each other over what so-and-so is doing or what so-and-so is saying. Then they'll turn around and complain about lack of efficiency. Hmm, I think a fix for inefficiency would be if we stopped infighting, but, hey, what do I know? I'm just an illogical woman.

You can blame the Kardashians, the Hadid sisters, Cardi B, Ariana Grande, and so on for this awful trend because they’re all severely surgically altered but still have the audacity to say it’s “good genes”. While, yes, all the women you listed are in the public eye and should feel a responsibility to set a good example for the future, I can't agree with blaming women for the rise of cosmetic surgery. It was men who did this. The women you listed are only following what they were taught by the pa…

Saw a job opening in a different city. It follows the career trajectory I'm on AND utilizes my undergrad degree (something I'd given up hope on), but when it comes to something I want, I let anxiety get ahold of me. I know I'm qualified. It would be a lateral move to a more preferred industry, but the what-ifs are taking over. I'm stepping way ahead of myself. What if I get the interview? What if I get the job? What if they don't match my salary demands? UGH. I'm trying to babystep it out. Updat…

My anxiety level plummeted when I realized I didn't need to have kids. Suddenly, life became easier by not racing towards an end goal that I didn't actually want. If you asked me when I was deep in the trenches of anxiety, I would've told you I wanted at least five. The moment I learned about a life beyond sexist expectations, I didn't even want one. I was so brainwashed in a cage with invisible bars.

Yes, I argue this with everyone. I wish we could tier the age of consent. Let 18-20 year olds experiment without a bunch of old mouth breathers breathing down their neck. 18 years olds don't even look like grown women. You don't look or act like an adult until past 21. The only reason we think a teenager looks or acts like an adult is because society tells us they do. No grown man is mistaking an 18/19 year old boy for an adult. Society acknowledges the most teenage boys don't look grown. We don…

I just feel like by not letting women take back makeup or shaving or whatever back from men, that it means if you adhere to ANY standard beauty regime that you're bending to male desires. What about shaving and makeup makes you beautiful as a woman? Like someone else commented, there is nothing to take back. That idea of beauty came from men.
