It means they refuse to see themselves as the bad guy lol!! They cannot entertain another perspective, only their own. Their “empathy” is all 100% spewing projection and accusations. Actual good people, will hesitate to call themselves a good person because they have the self awareness to know they can be both “good” and “bad”. Ironically assholes will be better than empaths, both are not great tho LOL

“I’m compassionate, empathetic, spontaneous... to myself” he means lol. Ladies, “spontaneous” is code word for “waste and disrespect your time at my beck and call.” If someone calls themselves empathetic (or an empath especially) it 99% of the time means they are only empathetic to themselves and will be salty if you have boundaries and won’t be their therapist Prince Charming. It means they are frustratingly self centred. And also they are moody af and passive aggressive. Basically he allows hi…

Yeah I hated that bit about “basic confidence” too. She probably talking about LVM level “confidence” AKA self delusion lmfaoooo That’s just being unhealthy.

She could have said “I’m a confident woman” that’s what confident women say lmao! Adding “pretty” is from self doubt. She sounds... not confident lmao 😂 People who are confident with themselves don’t put down others who are trying to be better, they support it. Sounds like she’s just projecting cuz the only one acting big is this girl 😂

Yes, I’ve lived this too many times on both sides. If you want to change someone or someone wants to change you, leave. By change I mean “if only they did this or that, then they would be...” or you want to “help” them be better. Their life and how they live it is none of your business, leave them as they are, they will be fine without your “help”. They were doing just fine before. When you try to “make someone better” all you are doing is creating dependency, passiveness, resentment in the othe…

Always put yourself first. They can deal with it. No one in your life matters more than you. Don’t help people who don’t help themselves. They will bleed you dry. They are not helpless, they see your kindness as being a sucker. You don’t have to have social media. Watch what you type/text, it’s liable for blackmail. Even to your friends. Talk in person or call instead because you never know who’s actually listening. You don’t have to be nice and you don’t have to make a million friends. Real fri…

Reminder that “trying to figure someone out” is psychiatry work. You’re not paid for that either. If he’s making you second guess constantly, and you’re playing doctor trying to diagnose his shit behaviour to “understand him better”, you’re putting in too much effort, use that energy for yourself instead. Why is this fool living in your head rent free? Kick them out of your head, they don’t deserve the free mental real estate.

It’s true! It’s a recipe for narcissistic golden child assholes! I’ve met the adult versions and I feel sorry for them tbh. Letting your child figure out and do shit on their own is so important! Let them face adversity!

Assume he will be LVM and he will become it, assume he will be HVM and he will be. Children are mind readers tbh, they can tell what you think of them really early on. You can guide and teach children but you cannot control them. Give him a lot of opportunity to socialize, it literally starts RIGHT OUT THE WOMB. The brain will form to be people oriented vs becoming “in their own world” if you socialize them early af. Isolation, insecurity, lack of education, and social awkwardness is the LVM sta…

It’s called being educated and having boundaries lol 😂 We all have trust issues and rightfully so. You gain each others trust over time. That’s just how the world works. Being naive is not virtuous, its not “good” it’s just being uneducated and irresponsible.

Yes!! Talking about it and questioning it makes you feel sane when you are surrounded by people acting insane! I was even feeling lost before finding this beautiful community. Like minded women here really made me feel ok for having standards and wanting better for myself, against the opinions of the LV people surrounding me. Unfortunately others have treated me poorly as they could “smell” the abused scent on me and I wasn’t able to make that connection until I started reading self help books. …

Thank you for sharing, you are such a brave, smart and strong girl. I’m so glad you aren’t afraid of “spilling the family secrets.” I hope the very very best for you, you’re ahead of the game in life experience and your future is bright. When I was your age I was in a situation similar but not as extreme, I was trapped in the “you can’t tell anyone or you’ll be sold to human trafficking by foster home.” I was trapped until my mid 20s and left a hollow shell. Never again, I’ll take your words to …

I was like that exactly!! I think it took me 6 months to actually get myself to look into it. It hurts because you know you should haha... Most people in general are codependent (to some degree) so there’s no shame. The book “codependent no more” was hard to read tbh but it really helped me too.

Me too sis. I’m working on being able to receive. I used to be grateful for crumbs of any kindness because as a kid I got none 🤷‍♀️ I would read on codependency, just knowing this word helped me a lot. The social obligation of “reciprocation” kills me, especially if I’m being guilted or manipulated into it. Which is why I no longer accept anything from people I don’t plan to be involved with in any way.

Forgive but don’t forget. We keep score whether we like it or not. If you keep forgiving and they keep upsetting you you’ll become dissociated from yourself and open to more repeated abuse. Remember, they broke your trust so act accordingly. Distance emotionally and physically from them every time you “forgive” them. If you’re basically out of touch because they’ve repeatedly upset you then it’s for the best. People only change when you leave lol

Avoid NVP LVP. Avoid anyone who puts you down, no slack just because you’re “friends” or family. The people who’ve torn me down the most were sadly other women who were too insecure to keep that shit to themselves.

Thanks!! Yes I am sad to say the same, I am struggling to find even one female role model. I’ve looked up to male/masculine role models and taken on masculine traits my entire life. Characters who were female heroine “badasses” were my favs (like Furiosa from mad max) but none were feminine! They were men in female bodies lol!!

That’s terrible advice, don’t use pets as stuffed animals lol. Go volunteer at a shelter or foster instead. Unless you’re actually going commit to the 8-30 years of taking care of it then sure go ahead. I hate to see animals being treated like toys.

Yeah these friends were never friends in the first place! They were always so stank, salty and jealous of everyone but never put in any work, expecting the same results as those who do. Entitled af. Yes! I could never imagine treating someone like that as well! I feel like that’s a good indicator to tell someone to fuck off, if you would never do that why let someone do that to you? I stopped being friends with low self esteem women with nothing going on in their life. Or people in general who c…
