You're not wrong, but this won't bring us anywhere as a society. The cycle can be broken, we're working on breaking it right now, and for that we need to have the belief that men are not determined by what their ancestors did. ( Racism parallel : White people have owned slaves, commited so many attrocities against people of other ethnicities... But racism is not inherent to white people and they can not be it. We have to assume that beliefs and behavior can be changed if we are to break the cycl…

It's been a fear for like 10 years, but I have not yet seen a surge in single men buying themselves sex dolls and giving up on loving and sexual relationships. Even though everybody agrees that a sex doll is probably cheaper in the long run, men actually want more than a female shaped flesh light.

Yes, and males are overwhelmingly socialized to be assertive and agressive, even in countries where it's not as explicit. For a female equivalent example, working with computers used to be a "female job", and when it began a male thing, they stopped working in this field. Not only because of opression, but I think because they had the belief that they wouldn't be as good as their males counterparts. I know that social factors are insufficient to explain every human behavior, but It would be bene…

Yeah, and men where also the one in power and in charge of countries. And for all your other points, they don't prove that it's a biological fact that men are inherently violent, only that they are so in the society that we live in. Rapes rates vary greatly across countries. Same for murder, robberies etc. So obviously men have some kind of control over their "violent urges"

Why do you think that men are "inherently" violent, and what do you mean by that ? Like biologically programmed ?

You're putting your narrative into women's mouths. Sexual freedom is just a part of the equation.

I would be a stepmother if the relationship with the bio mother would allow me to participate enough in their education. In my view, genes are only a small part of what you give your child, and is nearly not as important as giving them your values, your view on life, sharing experiences etc. I would rather raise someone else's child, that have my bio kids grow up with someone who teach them values I don't adhere with.

I don't. And I didn't have any trouble finding men to commit to me,bm the guys I'm interested in don't play this game anyway

Now she's got a friend to hang out with Actually, yeah. During the 7 years we were friends, I had feelings for him on/off. Each time, It took me going away for a bit to let the feelings go away. Now she's got a friend to hang out with Isn't that a nice thing for both participants of the friendship ? She doesn't have to commit nor have sex with me You seem to think that sex with her boyfriend is not desirable for a women. I don't really know how to convince you that that's not true, but yeah... t…

You mean you developed feelings for a guy that just wanted to be friends? Yes, exactly. He rejected me, I needed to take a break from our frienship for a few months because I wanted something he would'nt give me. It took me some time to get over him, and when we started talking again we eventually picked up from where we left off. I agree, though it does happen and women seem to allow it because these men are useful tools to them. I'd like to think you oversestimate how much girls are able to re…

I think your situation shows how such a situation can have a lot of nuance. If a guy enters a friendship with the only goal of sleeping with me, I would feel bad and end the friendship. If a guy ends up developping feelings, or wanting sex, after we got to know each other, I'll want to continue being friends, even if it means putting the frienship on hold until he gets over it. ( the opposite actually happened to me, and I understood where he came from ) So, context is everything

I'm attracted to men my own age, and not a lot of 20-something guys are willing to pay to have sex with me, so... But if you enjoy it, feel free to do so, your body is yours to enjoy and some men are willing to pay !

Just an advice, don't assume you can keep you daugthter sheltered until she goes to college. Teenagers find a way to have their experiences. And even if you're right and you manage to keep her away from the real world, you're not really doing her a service. She will be hurt in love, that's how life is. It's actually harder to have healthy relationships when you're 20 and everybody around you have years of experience, and you're supposed to figure out everything in only a few months. The experien…

Because he'll get better treatment in other ways. Investment. Emotional intimacy. Support. And it would be the same for a man. If the woman you're seeing casually always pays her bills late and racks up late fees ? That's her problem. Your long term partner? Not the same thing. Having different expectations is not treating the person worse.

It's not the same thing though, it's perfectly normal to expect different things from someone you live with or a fling..

Yeah a bit, but only for a short while Yes, t's not the only reason why I do it, but it's part of it. I wouldn't have sex with someone who doesn't make me feel good about myself. Casual sex attention It depends if I'm not having sex by choice or not. I once dated a guy with no sex drive, and it was awful for my self esteem. No

edit: after ruminating on this for a few hours i've considered that maternal love is caring, warm, makes sure everyone gets enough, inclusive of all etc. There's no reason why this love cannot be shared from women to men but it's so counter to Western Culture I can't fathom what changes in society would take place that this becomes common. But wait! I hear you say: "I am a woman, and I love my husband blah blah blah" and yes, i'm sure you do. But take away the utility he provides you, those "lit…

How do you reconcile your vision with the fact that women experience heartbreak too, and not only with guys who could have been potential providers?

Sex is not all about orgasms, but the garantee of it is still better than not. Worst case scenario for men : orgasm with someone who doesn't care about you worst case scenario for women : no orgasm with someone who doesn't care about you (plus, it can feel physically unconfortable if you're not into it and don't lubricate enough) I agree that sex is more than that, but the "holistic experience" is not garanteed, and you don't know how sex with someone is going to turn out until you're both naked…

I believe both those rules should disappear. The 3 months rules suggest that men are only walking dicks who will drop you the second they get what they really want ( aka sex ). My personal experience with men is that if they actually like your personality and your company, they'll still want to see you and date you... Even though I'm probably biased. The 3 dates rules doesn't seem much better to me. I'm actually curious of where you guys live to need those dating rules, and what are you are. I k…

I wouldn't mind my boyfriend/husband being bi. I'm not into threesomes, but if he wants to explore that's fine with me.

But if you want to take income into acount, it's very different though. However you choose to explain it, men are getting paid more. So it's not really surprising that women tend to marry men of equal educational level, but are getting less income. so the mean women in this subgroup, by marrying a peer, would be dating "above" her income
/r/PurplePillDebate13/11/19 12:10 AM

Oh, okay, so you're saying this as why women would "benefit" from the equalization. Yeah, I'd be glad, as the guys over at Google probably were when they got a pay increase. Your scenario is impossible though.Companies won't go around making a blind 22% increase to every women salary. They will compare it to their male counterparts, and adjust adequately (exactly like they did at Google). And ideally, women would get a raise. And if the CEO are complete assholes, that's another issue that goes b…

And yes, once women catch up to you, and definitely if they pass you by, they stop respecting you sexually. Men want to be respected sexually. Not necessarily, in countries where the gender gap is getting smaller, the hypergamy tendencies are greatly reduced. " Overall, we find a strong association between hypergamy and gender differences in educational attainment. Societies in which the female educational advantage is greater tend to have lower levels of educational hypergamy. There is a tenden…

.... I really don't follow your though process on this. So there is a bias for men to achieve higher position ? How is a part of the population having a higher position than the other fair ? How is women having the same incentive to make more money for they company take away the sexual power from men ? Would male CEO really lose their sexual respectability if their female counterpart make as much money ?...

Maybe but for now we should just encourage more women to ask for a raise. Sure, let's do that as well ! I'm not using it as an excuse as why women shouldn't ask for raises, but before you start theorizing that maybe women are less capable at negociating : https://www.researchgate.net/publication/41087504_Negotiating_Gender_Roles_Gender_Differences_in_Assertive_Negotiating_Are_Mediated_by_Women's_Fear_of_Backlash_and_Attenuated_When_Negotiating_on_Behalf_of_Others " Though women seemingly far wor…

Maybe because women they don't make as good CEOs or leaders as men ? That's a possibility that's is being rejected because it doesn't fit the current climate of our society. If we put 50% of CEOs as female but as a result the productivity decreases dramatically, wouldn't that be dumb ? So I just found this, yes It's just this one study, again feel free to provide another citation https://hbr.org/2012/03/a-study-in-leadership-women-do also quite long article about women in position of leadership …

Oh right, having at least 50% of female CEO despite that being something unachievable for 99,999% of the population. It reflects the fact that women have a harder time getting to these positions than men, it's an issue. Women have a hard time being perceived as efficient as their male counterparts. Plus, having more women in position of power would likely mean that the females workers are more taken into account. Getting parity in STEM fields even if it means lowering the entry bar for women a…

Why do we have to compare misery ? Would it not be more productive to determine the difficulties of each gender and try to do something about it ? We can fight for both genders at the same time

You're making a mistake by extrapolating the fact that women score higher in agreableness with the fact that every women is agreable and "submissive". More women than men are, but there is more difference found within each gender than in the two means. And biology is not a program. If it were, women woudn't have fough to get rights, they would still be happy at home taking care of their husbands and kids. The fact that it's not the case is proof that there is no "program", and the historical pla…

Well, they won't want to fuck you if you never meet them... And rejection is hard, but giving up on ever meeting anyone won't make you happy And I agree that women tend to let the guys do the asking. It's slowly starting to change as the gender roles become less relevant.

It is hard, but there is no other way really. And the single women don't have to be part of the group, they can come through the member of the group, friends, sisters etc.

It depends how you look at it : we all kind of function the same, but when you look into the details (personality, values, social behavior...) you find a large range of differences. That's why you don't automatically get along with everybody
