This statistically isn’t true! I understand the concern around false accusations as they can ruin people’s lives and I believe there should definitely be more consequences for people who falsely accuse others. However, you are more likely to be sexually assaulted as a man then falsely accused. It is estimated that 0.5% of allegations are false. If you have a source that backs up what you said, do let me know, I’d be interested to read.

I completely agree with you. I think false accusations should be taken more seriously as they are very much capable of ruining people’s lives, and I agree that there should be consequences for people who falsely accuse others. However, people often forget how rare the chance of being falsely accused is. You are more likely to be sexually assaulted as a man then falsely accused.
