that was actually what I am planning on doing. I am having two people Sam and Francis, they are pretty neutral names. At the end of the intro I'll ask how many people think what happened was rape by raising their hands. Then i'll ask the same after I reveal that the genders were reversed

luckily for me I have know who will be attending the speech and was able to do some substantial research on them. None of them are feminist and none of them would really discount or drown out the message if I went in that direction. But I won't and did not plan on doing that regardless. I do not NEED statistics but I probably should not have the entire speech be about the personal experiences of people I interviewed. I need to persuade the audience that male rape is in fact an issue and I don't think having personal experiences will really hit a nerve with the audience
