If they really wanted to represent a trans in this new film it wouldn't have been that hard. She had more control over the creative process this time around. They even told everybody Neo was so hard to find because they din't know how many times they changed his appearance inside the matrix. How easy would it have been to just simply use a female cast member as Neo's image inside the matrix and use keanu as neo in the real world? They couldn't get something as simple asthat done? Are you kidding…

You mean the trans character that was cut from the film and never made it to the final product?

Flimsy? The believe that the matrix is a trans film is what's flimsy. This is a reach.

I brought it up because she only said it after this new film was released, not during the release of the originals like she should have. If these films were trans films then where was the trans cast? Why wasn't gender even mentioned anywhere in the script? Why wasn't any of the members DPI changed to represent the opposite sex? For a move this successful that had such a wide and diverse cast and audience you would really believe that it was written strictly to cater to a demographic that made up…

And I'm telling you I'm calling out the director on her bullshit just like I called George Lucas on his when he pulled his "Who shot first" crap. Maybe she intended for this newer "matrix" to be some sort of trans film, but I promise you if she even mentioned that with the culture surrounding the late 90's the films would have tanked. I don't believe her statement and both you and her are going to have a hard time convincing me resurrections was just another cash grab that waited way too long to…

What do you mean "find in the ether"? You mean my own thoughts from having an unhealthy obsession over these films for the last 20 years? Maybe you can try to explain how being red pilled is linked to misogyny and how this was a trans film when there was absolutely not a single mention of trans or even gender for that matter? No I'm 100% certain this films plot devices are being taken advantage of 20 years later by millennials who just want to turn it into something it never was because they nev…

The matrix was never about trans identity. That's something new age politics turned it into. Lana's transition into a woman had nothing to do with it because that didn't come until years after. And as far as the OP goes claiming that red pilled somehow equates to misogyny is also dumb for the same reason. How could a director who was born a man that felt like she was a woman intentionally encourage that type of bahavior? Because all of you have missed the point of what that movie was and are str…

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
