It's a joke. I don't find it offensive or funny. One time years ago I was having lunch with a friend and he made a slightly sexist joke about keeping his wife obedient. It was his running gag, similar to the "Key and Peele - I said bitch" skit. Some guy overheard him and complained to him that it was offensive. Only a PPO was denied, it's a small victory. He still will likely be criminal prosecuted. He wasn't given the keys to enter the backdoor. When she blackedout he decided that was his opportunity. I don't think the concern is about abortion. I understood their concern was society does not value girls and that's causing the abortions. Of course, they are implying the motivation for abortion is undervaluing girls. Unfortunately in their economic structure, their society does value males more.
