As a certified woman, I feel a public responsibility to let you know that this is the worst advice ever. A male friend of mine started treating me this way and guess what? I cut him out of my life because he was being a douche bag and I don't have time for adolescent drama. If your female friends aren't attracted to you, there's a reason for it. If you really want to shoot your shot, try being optimistic, agreeable, and practicing a good sense of humor. If that doesn't work, move on.

I used to hate being hit on in the library. The issue with putting a woman on a pedestal is that it dehumanizes her.
