Probably because the average male is stronger and faster than the average female. Do you really want a 95 pound 4'11 18 year old that can't do a single pushup in the military?

Rape is not a special crime. Its a horrible crime that has psychological effects. I would rather be beaten to an inch of my life than be raped again. When you're being assaulted, you don't enjoy it at all. You don't get any pleasant stimulation at all. There's no confusing physical signals that tell you that you like it. There's nobody after the fact telling you that you must have wanted to be beaten because you were wearing a Tapout shirt. So much of the bad parts about rape is that it violates…

There's no better way to gain complete power over someone and have them fear you while hating themselves as much as they hate you than rape. Its not a man-woman issue. Its not a feminist issue. Why do men rape other men in prison? Because they're attracted to them? No. They rape to gain control, to make them powerful. By raping someone, you tell them that they're worthless, and that you hold all the cards. Its more about power than it is about sex. Sex is just how power is gained.

How did you think that this is an appropriate comment? Calling women sluts is not appropriate. This woman raped a man and all of a sudden she's "desperate"? Rape isn't about sex, its about power. Grow up. Name calling solves nothing.

The idea of complaining about things that they have 'control' over is stupid, I agree, but the fact of the matter is that most women feel like they HAVE to do all of these because society demands it. They're trying to get the attention of men, and some men care about things like that. Complaining is stupid in general, but sometimes things that you have control over don't necessarily mean that you want to do them. It's the same thing as having to wear a suit and tie to work - it's uncomfortable b…

We should lobby for getting zippers banned because they only cause injury to men, and not women and therefore they're not equality friendly! The button shall rise again!

I think that this is more about the civilian perspective. Women get raped when soldiers take over their village. Soldiers are usually encouraged to sign up, while nobody signs up for rape.

How is this a men's right issue? This is a statement of fact because of the preference of men over women in China and thus this demographic problem has arisen. Sure it concerns men, but what can you do to change this? I recognize this as an awareness sort of thing, but I would rather concern myself more with things that we CAN change, and are willing to change.

Yeah but theoretically would you want to see your daughter married off to a rich family that you could later depend on because you're the parent in law, or would you want to live alone with your son for the rest of your life because not enough people are having girls? Sure, sons are considered more valuable in this culture, but because of all of these men suffering, you'd think that some kind of thinking would shift? Or all of these parents are thinking that their sons will be one of the top tie…

Seriously? Isn't it considered the American Dream to get married, have two kids, a dog, a house in the suburbs, and a nice lawn with a picket fence? There are thousands and thousands of men that want to get married and have families and children. The point of this article is not how the men are helpless without women, but that they're lonely. If this was predisposed the other way, where there's thousands of extra women to men, they'd feel the same way. When you want something and you can't get i…

I think that the whole concept of selective service is terrible. Nobody should be forced to go to war. The whole thing should be abolished. Women shouldn't be a part of the draft because they're biologically weaker and more vulnerable than men, generally. An 18 year old woman is significantly weaker than an 18 year old man. On the field, they would be the first to die, or cause others to die protecting them. Its biology, not sexism.

Lately I've been reading comments on some of the posts here, and they've been all very negative and derogatory. I came here to learn things about the men's right movement, not bash feminists and make fun of other activists.

Playing with toys is an important part of developmental processes for children. It is important when specific toys are given to specific genders to enforce gender roles. Not everyone is a feminist, and making broad generalizations about how women view men as "rapists" all the time is just as bad as how women supposedly think that they're in danger of being raped all the time.

India has a lot of legal troubles, and they're trying to come up with a solution that would stop/reduce the amount of women being raped in India. This is not a final solution. They were also talking about forbidding women from working past 5 pm, that's blatant sexism. Women in India are raped more than women in the states, and they don't have that much support because their honor has been tainted. I don't agree that there should be only women judges/prosecutors in rape cases, but there should be…

Why is this on mensrights? This is just the way things were back then, and it has nothing to do with feminism and sexism. Besides, Victorian-era women's clothing had buttons down the back, so it would be almost impossible to button them yourself without help, so it made sense for the buttoning to be easier for the servant/husband/friend to button up.

The sad thing is that I consider myself a 'feminist' to an extent. I am not a feminazi- I just want equal rights for everyone. Womens rights in the middle east is a large problem and there are many religions that put women below men. However, in todays society, men are expected to reach a standard that is almost impossible for the average man to reach in terms of finance or in child care. Men are seen as one stereotype and nobody thinks that its wrong. That's horrible and it must be stopped. Wom…
