It is Christian and in it's statement about homosexuality they state that they believe it is wrong. Scripture forbids sexual intimacy between members of the same sex. The Salvation Army believes, therefore, that Christians whose sexual orientation is primarily or exclusively same-sex are called upon to embrace celibacy as a way of life. He lost everything when he was accused of molesting a little girl that was in his care. Charges fell through because he could prove that he didn't. He was gay as well, so it didn't make any sense why he would be accused. Left homeless and jobless he came to the salvation army for help.
