Well, you won’t be overweight anymore in 6 months if you keep your diet and activity level in check. So does it matter? Why not just wait until then 🤪

If you’re not already, lift some heavy ass weight.

Look at yourself in the mirror. Then ask yourself “Do I want to gain muscle or lose fat?” Pick one and adjust diet accordingly. This can be done without counting calories but it will probably be a lot harder to meet your nutritional needs regardless if your bulking or cutting. Push, pull and leg is okay if your into that kind of split. As long as your getting in all the compound lifts (deadlift, squat, bench, barbell row and OHP) I would heed the advice of that trainer and concentrate on your for…

I like to keep body measurements/caliper test for this kind of thing as the scale can lie sometimes. I’d assume some of that weight is probably water weight then in that time frame. Unless you really are in a crazy surplus lol but if you find in a few weeks your still maintaining weight with your diet then adjustments should be made. I usually aim for a half pound-one pound gain a week bulking to keep the fat gain minimal. Tracking such small increments on a scale can be tough especially when yo…

If your just maintaining weight right now with your diet at 190lbs you are not in a caloric surplus. How long did the jump from 180 to 190 take? If it’s just recent weight gain its probably mostly water weight. Not really enough info here to go off of though.

I checked it out, according to that for bench at my weight I'd be around advance. I do compounds like deadlifts and squats on leg day. According to that I'm around intermediate level. I didn't start incorporating compounds into my routine until 3 months ago or so. I've always excelled in upper body for the most part. I do 3-4 sets usually at varying weight.

Usually do chest and tris one day, back and bis the next, legs and core the third and the 4th calisthenics. 2 of those days I try to take a 30 min walk or hit the eliptical.

Yeah I'll have to hit it harder again. Think I've gotten a little comfortable. I have dealt with losing fat. within 2 Years time I went from 310 pounds to 175 ( I'm 6 ft tall on the dot) and all is great besides the touch of loose skin I got at first but that has mostly gone away since I'm young and my skin elasticity is still good I think lol still have a little bit of skin looseness that may fit in this equation as well.

I think your probably right. I just find it weird it's only my stomach. my lift strength hasn't changed or the appearance of my muscles really. It must be minimal. Like I said it's not much of a difference, really only noticeable to me.
