Every gym bro has that moment where they realize no woman gives a shit about how much you can lift. I hope that was his

Virgin = had sex. Rape ≠ sex (consent is the difference) Still a virgin

The Catholic Church has been trying that for over a thousand years. They didn’t get very far.

I do see your point and agree that envy would be a much better term over jealousy. However I did some research and found that both “envy and jealousy are emotional transformations of the affect shame” (what I misidentified as insecurity). I think it’s fair to say that if you have a high n count partner you would feel jealous of your partner (not trusting their “adventurous spirit,” as you put it) and envious of her previous partners (wanting what they possessed, her innocence, virginity, whateve…

I agree that monogamy has been on the decline since the liberation of women. However TRP is not inherently antagonistic towards monogamy, otherwise we wouldn’t have subs like r/redpillwives and r/marriedredpill. Hell even Rollo Tomassi (the most influential blogger behind TRP and the manosphere) is a married man. Monogamy is useful for child rearing couples who want a stable home life for their children, but outside of that context I don’t think it should be the rule for all relationships.

Just broadly speaking it levels the playing field if your partners n count is at least similar to yours. You should both have a healthy dose of jealousy in a LTR because if you don’t feel anger or disgust at the thought of them fucking someone else do you really care about them? And vice versa on her end. It would shift the balance too much if one partner had 100 previous partners and the other had 0. That’s my main take on TRPers promoting a healthy sex life for themselves but insisting on low …

How do you define jealousy? Not trying to argue I’m genuinely curious

Anger+disgust=jealousy. Nothing wrong with it we shouldn’t moralize about our emotions. But we should use stoicism to examine our emotions and determine which ones are constructive and which ones are destructive.

There are obviously limits. I’d smash a porn star in a heartbeat but I’d never LTR with one. I like to think I’m secure in myself but if my partner made a career of getting pounded by 8” cocks that’d be too much for me

If I’m seeking a LTR I want someone I can actually hold a conversation with. I’d still smash if she couldn’t but that’s a different story. And sure I bet there are women in that age range who I could be interested in for a LTR but that’s a needle in a haystack and virginity isn’t that important to me because I don’t get bothered by that shit. As long as my n count is higher I won’t have any reason to feel insecure

Because all available women have had sex before. I’m only 24 and virtually all women in my age group have had sex. The only exceptions are religious nuts, ugly women, or mentally unstable chicks, all of whom are automatically not LTR material. So if I really wanted virgins I’d have to date 18-20 year olds which are also not LTR material in my book because any person that age is immature af imo.

I agree. I’m not saying that the emotion of disgust isn’t valid, but it’s often confused with an internal fear of not living up to her prior partners. Jealousy is really just a mixture of fear and disgust. We should listen to our feelings and let them guide our actions. But if I’m seeking a LTR I know that a) she’s had partners before me (and there’s nothing wrong with that) and b) that not matter how few she’s had I’m going to be jealous about it. Love is very mixed up with jealousy about your …

I believe some RP theory but I don’t back the whole “low N count women for relationships” thing. The obsession with your partner’s past body count is just insecurity through and through. Any argument you hear is rationalization of that jealousy. I’m confused how that got into RP as RP literature (if you could call it that) puts heavy emphasis on stoicism, mastery of your emotions, betterment of the self.

Can you imagine if the roles were reversed? “Everyone knows that after a guy has had 5-6 partners his dick shrivels and gets smaller.”

Going off the older generations model, the dad had to work while the mother raised the kids. And in recent years it’s been harder and harder to support a family on one income which leads to longer hours. My parents are together but growing up I only really saw my dad on the weekends, and even then it was to work on projects around the house.

A large portion of Muslims are peaceful. You’re universalizing what you see on the news and projecting a very small sect’s behavior onto the religion as a whole. It’s actually interesting to note that terrorist groups have broken every single one of the Quran’s rules of engagement.

If you enjoyed high school, you were the reason no one else did. Don’t let jealousy in. The guys who bullied you in high school peaked in their formative years it’s all downhill for them after.

I always wrap it in the hookup phase. One of m buddies got hooked by a girl who said she was on the pill but was trying to get pregnant. Once we’d been together a while and weren’t active with anyone else she decided to make the switch.

She had an implant in her arm where loss of libido was one of the side affects. So it wasn’t quite as simple as just not taking pills it would need a procedure to get it out. To say it was DB is a bit of an exaggeration but it was still a night and day difference in her sex drive.

This hits home. Hooked up with a girl, sex was crazy, great chemistry. Kept at it hooking up several times a week until we caught feelings. Moved in together after a few months and she went on BC and it was instant r/deadbedrooms. I just moved out after 2 years of trying to rekindle that passion. Should have just got a vasectomy

I’m surprised I had to scroll this far to see someone mention machiavellianism. I think when people talk about successful psychopaths they almost always mean machiavellians, who “turn off” their moral compass at times when it benefits them, but aren’t entirely without conscience. Psychopaths are much more likely to end up alone or in prison than a Machiavellian, who is the kind of “psychopath” that people associate with being a titan of industry or a pickup artist.

Pregnancy and abortion services are only a small section of the general problem of healthcare, which we should all collectively participate in to reduce the price for everyone. What people don’t realize is that if someone doesn’t have access to abortion or healthcare, those costs are magnified for the taxpayer long term. PP provides population control, in a sense, and we wouldn’t have nearly as much poverty or welfare recipients if we provided PP up front to our citizens. By NOT providing health…

Just don’t ask. I will admit it is very hard for me personally to separate the feeling of loving a woman to the jealous “ownership” kind of love. I respect women’s freedoms and I would never hold her past against her, she probably didn’t know I even existed so how can I be jealous? But when I’m in a relationship I know I’m going to have that selfish voice inside saying “I want this person, exclusively, for myself. This person is MY person.” Knowing her body count is only going to make me feel ba…

Not the one who posted the original comment but wanted to jump in. It’s exactly those questions that make me want to have tax-funded sources of birth control, pregnancy planning, etc like planned parenthood, and also to provide paid maternity leave. Men are the higher wage earners so by taxing that higher income to provide pregnancy services for all would decrease at least the financial burdens of childbearing. Men are either against PP for ethical reasons (don’t get me started on that) or apath…

90% of good dress sense comes down to -wear something that fits you well no matter your body type (don’t try and squeeze into something too small and don’t try and hide your size with baggy clothes, just wear something that FITS) -make sure what you’re wearing is clean -dress for the weather conditions As long as you follow those 3 rules pretty much everything else is fair game. Color choices and the like are more personal preference, but obviously avoid wearing colors and patterns that clash

I think it was Simone de Beauvoir who theorized about how post-menopausal women form a kind of third sex (she was writing before the word gender was vogue). The objectification of women is such a big part of femininity that once they age out of being sexual objects they’re not looked at or treated the same way as fertile women. A lot of comments on this post have touched on the difference between old and young women. Men stay fertile into old age and as there worth comes from providing/status th…
