I think this is exactly right--on any of these things, there's probably a normal distribution where most people are pretty similar regardless of gender (for example, an average sex drive, or if you think about something that's objectively measurable, a height that's between 5' and 6' tall). There are also outliers of both genders (asexuals, people who are actually hypersexual; little people and giants). Sure, the average for men and the average for women might be noticeably different, but it's…

I addressed this in the second half of my comment--Im not sure there's anything you can do, except maybe seem like you would be exciting to date in conversation.

He asks you out on unusual, interesting dates in a short to medium term. In the extremely short term, like met at a bar and then going home with you kind of way, I think excitement is more about chemistry and harder to pin down. Like that you're excited that the two of you are clicking so well.

I would be willing to sacrifice in all of the categories that you listed if he was a good enough "whole package." How I feel when I'm with him, how he treats me, and how we click are all impossible to objectively measure and more important than any specific thing. I do think there are 'floors' for some of this stuff, though. I make plenty of money and don't mind if my partner doesn't, but I do want him to be a grown-up about it and know how to budget and be able to support himself. I actively …

Paying for it is very effective if your priorities are that it is casual and that you get a variety of women

I mean, people change. Did I change after getting married? Sure, I was 22, if I didn't change something would be wrong. My husband also changed after getting married, because he was also 22. People change even more after they have kids. I think it is VERY unusual for someone to change substantially at the actual point of marriage.

I actually think it's fine to talk about observed differences between large groups of people as long as that is really the context. It's the tendency for red pill men to apply their GENERAL ideas about women to EVERY SPECIFIC woman that I think is the most toxic part of this. Honestly, on any measure you can think of, I think there is more difference among men or among women than there is between the average man and the average woman--this is true even where the differences are easily observab…

Then you misunderstood--I am saying that my biggest problem with red pill is the idea that "all women are like that" and pointed out that anytime you are talking about a very large group of people, they will not all be alike.

Is your argument that all people with skin act the same when it comes to relationships?
/r/PurplePillDebate08/02/22 08:38 PM

Item 2--there is no category of human beings who are all alike, much less one that includes more than half of the population.

I mean, basically your point here is that each viewpoint has some kernel of truth. I think that's not only accurate but literally must be accurate--no one would buy any of these things if they had nothing about them that resembled reality.

My main concerns are that I want to be in an egalitarian relationship with someone who loves and respects me as an individual, where we are each other's highest priorities. I think someone who believes in red pill stuff often thinks of a relationship as a conflict or competition of some kind and, worse, often thinks of the world at large as a kind of competition between men and women. I don't think it's possible to have the kind of relationship I want with someone who thinks that way.

You've never seen women admit to a general statement that would really turn on the majority of women because I genuinely believe such a thing doesn't exist and our preferences vary dramatically. Honestly, I think even men are more different than you imply here--"the body" is what attracts you sexually, but there are boob guys and butt guys and feet guys and whatever else. I might as well say the majority of women are sexually turned on by a combination of a man's body and personality.

That's true but I think it's easier to do that through a day care or family care/nanny situation. I don't think your emergency point is a big difference between your two scenarios--we all have cell phones. I just don't agree that it's necessarily better or healthier for a child to be taken care of by their parents 100% of the time once breastfeeding is over (I do think exclusive breastfeeding is ideal for the first 6 months and it's easiest to do that if mom is with the baby almost all of the …

Situation 1. I think it's actually healthy for kids to have interaction with their peers at day care and school and to have other adults intimately involved in their lives other than their parents.

I believe that both of these should be measured by how much you have leftover Do both partners have the same amount of free time to do what they want to do? Add up work hours and housework hours and see how much is left. There's no need for each partner to be doing half of the chores if one of them works way more hours, but if one person has a dramatically higher amount of free time, they need to take on more chores. Do both partners have the same amount of free money, or at least a similar pe…

I'd also add how he talks about other women specifically or women in general--overgeneralizing about women is a huge tip off for me that he doesn't really think of us as fully individual human beings the way he is. Im terms of RP overall, the stuff that makes me think RP guys don't think of us as people is all the stuff that is in their thought process about women, not in their focus on body parts. I enjoy being complimented and physically objectified but it has to be by someone who I know think…

And knowing people who can introduce you to women is one of the top ways men have had relationships and sex in the history of the world!

Understanding women better and practicing having conversations with them. Ways to meet other women that she knows--if you are genuinely friends, she might even give you an endorsement or specifically try to set you up. Oh, and HAVING A NICE FRIEND

I think it's common for human beings to freak out a little bit when they reach a certain point in their adulthood where they aren't sure what the next step is--think of the stereotype of a mid-life crisis for men. I don't think there is a special, different kind of freak out for women who are single with no kids.

Laziness--I was specifically thinking that there are some kinds of "slob" that you would find unattractive.

Ok, then leg hair! Leg hair is more common to grow out and more work to remove anyway so it's a better example.

This is funny, I know some men do like armpit hair but I did also pick it because I thought it was the thing a random man on the internet was least likely to like, better than leg hair.

God yes. It usually doesn't (though it can!) look exactly like the sexual attraction men have to women. The conversations that women get into about things would shock young men, I think. Like, go on twitter and search for Stanley Tucci's forearms.

Are you attracted to women who are more than 10 years older than you? More than 20? Fat women? Disabled women? If not you've already removed the majority of women. I think this is a totally false statement, basically considering "women" to be "women who are young and able bodied" instead of actually considering all women.
/r/ExRedPill01/02/22 04:46 PM

Are you sure? Maybe you don't mind if your girlfriend has a 'slacker' type job, but there are other things to being slobby. There is a lot of self care that women typically do. What if she let her armpit hair grow out?

Yep, I think the only things unique to men would be a bad beard (especially something patchy) and a bad kind of baldness (a lot of us like a shaved or very close cut head of hair, but having longer hair with nothing on top is not a good look).

Sort of--I think that if we are talking about a lifelong relationship, you need to accept that we are all on a long road to decrepitude and death and that at some points in the relationship your sex life will change and/or sex will be off the table entirely. Our bodies are human and are affected by childbirth, illness, and age. If you aren't willing to accept that as part of the deal, in my opinion you're not really mature enough to really commit to a lifelong relationship. However, I do think t…

Technically deceptive, not morally wrong, I personally would not care even a little bit about this.

In terms of study data, single/unmarried means literally not currently married--nothing at all to do with their relationship status outside of a legal marriage or whether they are having sex or not. More likely conclusions: Lots of women are in unhappy marriages, being in an unhappy marriage is significantly worse than being single. A woman in a happy marriage is happier than a single woman, but I'd bet that on average the boost you get from a happy marriage is much smaller than the decline in…

I have a boyfriend so I haven't personally, but I know women at my studio who have. There's more than one long term couple I know who met this way as well. At the very least they get to touch and dance with tons of women and get generally fawned over.

I started taking ballroom dance classes this past summer and let me tell you, if you are a single man under the age of 50 with even the most basic sense of rhythm you better google your local dance studio. It's inherently social and there are plenty of young single women but the men are almost all either old or have been dragged there by their wives. There is enough of a shortage of men that women learn the leaders' parts.

Where did the 25% of men being incels come from? That seems pretty high, plus I feel like there is an age component there. I get older I'm starting to see a whole category of men who I'd characterize as late bloomers--had absolutely atrocious luck with women in high school and their early 20s, in some cases actually came to the conclusion they'd be alone forever, but by the time they are in their mid-30s they have their shit together and DO find success with women.

I mean, I would hope that the guy is being himself and I can understand if that is someone I enjoy being around before we have sex.

This is a really interesting way to say it, pretty much exactly what I was thinking.

Yeah, I have plenty of my own money (I lucked out in my career), but I do want a man who can pull his own weight and is smart about things, like not going careening into debt for no reason.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/11/20 09:21 PM
1

God, this seems so backwards to me! I don't want to be fucking anyone who I don't enjoy being around, and if fucking is the prerequisite for getting to know the real you--yikes. This is going to sound insincere given what I just said, but if it's like a blue balls situation, can't you jerk off before a date or something?
/r/PurplePillDebate23/11/20 09:19 PM

Yeah, I was also wondering if age is a component of this--I am in my 30s (old! past my prime!) but I feel like men my age are so, so much better at this kind of stuff than men were when I was in my early 20s.

What do you mean by "leads to disaster"? What about just regular things like eating a meal together or sharing a living space? Do you not need those or not want them?

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
