I whole heartedly agree! Due to gender roles a lot of people are still just a little bit uncomfortable with successful women. I watched this video on YouTube by Aba and Preach where they talked about how often times looks and “wifely” values are more important than a high powered career. It shouldn’t be this way but I think people need to be honest about these things in order to get what they want in life.

Self esteem can sometimes be like body dysmorphia, meaning you know you’re all these things but it’s not good enough or you see yourself in a distorted way, where your view of yourself doesn’t match reality.

I have the same problem, I’m 26, smart, nice, pretty, etc but I’ve never had an official relationship. I remember telling this one guy that and he was like “Are your standards too high?” and for a second I considered he might be right, but I’ve decided I’m not going to settle for less than I deserve.
