I can agree that men should have a access to men’s health center’s. But I think the general consensus in the medical fields is that men don’t often seek preventative treatment like women do (there’s a lot of things that have to do with that), and because (healthy) men won’t need as much medical care a child-bearing woman, they see men as a small market. My Naturopath originally set up as a men’s and children’s clinic...but she discovered in about two years that it was really women who came to th…

Gynecologists aren’t OBGYNs so I would never make such an idiotic suggestion, actually. And this isn’t a debate about men’s health being neglected or men’s health centers being unable to open... Men have male specific doctors. Who cares if the fucking door doesn’t say “Men’s Health?”

Uh, nope. If we took women’s health off my OBGYN’s office, it would look identical to any other doctor’s office... and it is. With the exception of OBGYNs specializing in vaginal/vulval care and pregnancy/postpartum care. Urologists, according to the above response, specialize in penile and prostate (I assume) health...meaning they do specialize in men’s health and makes their function pretty much identical to a gynecologist’s, just in a different way. So... I think your issues is kinda silly, p…

There ya go. Men’s Health. Just slather it on the side of the urologists’ offices. Problem solved.

Do men have to have a specialist look at their genitals every year? Women do. Thus women’s health, because women need vagina doctors. Do you actually need dick doctors or does the primary care doc do? I really don’t know.

They recently moved and didn’t notify us of their new address. He has a few psychological disorders and is emotionally vulnerable. She recently threw away all of his meds and has basically forced him into cold turkey anti-psychotic withdrawal which is partially why I am worried. She’s messaging his parents and mine on social media, not me. If you want to explain to sixty somethings how to use social media in a way that allows them to block people, feel free, haha. She just texts me periodically …

I feel bad for your kids if all you’re doing with them is their assigned homework. That’s not going to teach them how to think for themselves, and it won’t help them get ahead. When I say homework, I mean doing things like supplemental reading etc. which is something that should be done every day. Setting the table for everyone isn’t the same as making dinner, which is what I mean when I say I feed everyone...and I literally do help my toddler eat...so I cook, I set the table, I help the younges…

Are you married with children? I would assume not. He walks in the door at 430. I get home at 5. I cook dinner, I do homework with kids, I feed everyone, I do bathtime for two kids, I put two kids to bed, I then clean the kitchen and pick up the living room. And then I am up before my husband because I get up with the kids, I get them dressed, I feed them breakfast, and then we try to get out the door. I get up about an hour earlier than my husband to do these things every morning. I also wake u…

I’m a woman. A married woman. Who is quite literally standing on my soap box yelling that if my husband helped around the house while I’m busy with the kids that yes, that would translate into sexual desire for me. Women aren’t visual like men; we have to be in the right mood to have sex. It isn’t rocket science. If I’ve just bathed two kids, breastfed a toddler to sleep etc. I don’t feel sexy and ready to go the moment I step out of the kids’ room. I especially don’t feel ready to have sex if I…

You realize you can’t really know or understand someone’s perspective 100% from a comment, right? Words are only about 30% of communication... there’s also tone and gestures... but I’ll play I can see how you would assume it’s duty sex, which is actually known as pity sex to women, because of my wording. Guess what? It feels like pity sex when I’ve worked all day, then cooked dinner for the family, then done bath with the kids, then put the kids to bed, then come out and have to clean the entire…

I have I have. He did dishes once after that. Guess what? We had great sex that night! Complete with head for him.

That’s not true at all. I love my husband, and I also love orgasms; but when my day is consistently 4.5 hours longer than his, yes, it leads to me being generally more exhausted than him, and yes, it leads to resentment which leads to less sex. If he does the dishes, it makes me feel seen, it makes me feel like my time matters, too. It’s also just the nice fucking thing to do because I make dinner for everyone generally every night, why should I also do the dishes? When my husband does cook, I d…

Also, for those men here who say things like women are only attracted to a certain percentage of men... If you’re married or in a LTR, do something around the house you generally wouldn’t. Example: it takes me about an hour and a half every night to get my kids to bed. After that, I usually have a kitchen to clean. My husband generally wants me to have sex with him, too. Know what would get him laid faster than anything? If he elected to load the dish washer instead of watching TV while I put th…

Huge. But you know what I, a woman, need more than desire for my partner? To feel desired.

On average, sure, but not across the board. I’m 5’0 and weigh 100lbs. I worked as a raft guide for two summers; my rafts always had the same amount of customers as the dude raft guides; I worked the same hours; I hauled rafts from buses to the river and vice versa; I had to swim the same stretch of river to pass guide training as the dude guides... I could go on. My point is that even though I was a chick guide, the expectations for me were exactly the same as they were for the dudes. I also wor…

I think there are a good number of women who believe and claim they’re feminists, but actually have no idea what the tenets of feminism are. Many “feminists” nowadays just seem to be pissed off girls armed with a liberal agenda.
/r/MensRights07/01/20 02:35 AM

Why do you think it’s ridiculous? Because many liberal feminists go around these days pretending women can be men and vice versa? Because I’m of the thought that we are inherently different but equality can be achieved with those differences in mind.

That’s fucking stupid. Anyone who thinks changing film /story titles is actually a step in sex equality is ridiculous.

I laughed at this: “you might have a place in our lives - on our terms...” I’m sorry, but women are not your property and shouldn’t be treated as such. Healthy relationships, you know, those where no one is being forced into marital rape or getting someone pregnant, are generally negotiated on the terms of both parties, not one or the other. I didn’t say that a woman tricking a man into getting her pregnant was OK; I didn’t even hint that “pushing a man into poverty” was to be desired and/or pur…

In my experience, it’s actually been men who are opposed to condom use and women who are convinced that a man shouldn’t wear one when they’re in a relationship. I’m not saying it doesn’t happen the other way around, but my experience (and I have a lot as do my female, straight friends) is the opposite. Bottom line for me is that it’s a woman’s responsibility to take her BC pills (if she even can or wants to), and a man’s to wear a condom. I get that a man could be shamed into not wearing a condo…

Honestly, I can see how it might be problematic for a man if he impregnates someone and wants to be a father, but she terminates the pregnancy. I can see how it might be problematic if he doesn’t want to be a father, and she chooses to keep the baby. Unfortunately, women carry the babies. I don’t know what to say beyond that. When I enlisted in the Marines, I wanted to go into infantry, but I couldn’t because I have a vagina. The world is unfair. I don’t really know how you deal with a woman tha…

I’m not sure I understand what you’re attempting to communicate. Are you suggesting that if you accidentally impregnate a woman that you MUST consent to her having that baby or you aren’t actually responsible for it? I’m understanding?

I’m sorry to hear this. I have an unusual looking vulva (compared to most mainstream pro porn stars) so I can relate in way, but I can’t because my vulva is natural and your penis was mutilated by your parents and a doctor. I wish you all the best with your foregen and trauma healing.

That’s why I said if the court succeeds in enforcing it. I do know men are legally required to pay it (if it’s been filed for at least), but I would also expect that courts get back logged with unpaid child support claims and can’t enforce them all. I grew up with a guy who had 5 kids from 5 different women, none of which he willingly gave child support to (nor was he involved with any of his children, which I do believe was his choice from having been friends with him), and he had open court ca…

Damn true! If he actually pays or the court system successfully enforced it. I do know men get F-ed over in custody cases often, but I also know a fair share of guys who have kids they can count on two hands that they don’t support emotionally or financially.

That’s awful that you were treated that way. I’ll say that women in general get super hung up on what I call “perceived perfect pussy pressure,” which is the notion that we all have to have Barbie doll looking vulvas because that’s what we believe men are demanding; in other words, women feel like men have been making fun of variations of normal vulvas forever (and some have). What really really bugs me about what happened to you during that encounter is that at some point that woman had probabl…

I don’t think a woman lying about being on the pill could be deemed as sexual assault in the same way as a man not wearing a condom when he said he would. Why? Because if the man (who claimed to put on a condom but did not) ejaculates inside the woman, he has literally left himself, or parts of himself, inside the woman against her will. (We could discuss the improbability of a woman NOT knowing a man hadn’t actually donned a condom, which isn’t likely if she was a willing partner, IMO.) That sa…

I’m a woman; honestly I’m only on this group because I’m curious about the perspectives of those who are concerned with men’s rights; that said, I 100% agree that infant circumcision should be banned. Completely, totally, unapologetically. The procedure is unnecessary and is cosmetic. Mothers who circumcise their son(s) so that “their future wives” will have a prettier penis to look at should be ashamed; men who encourage the circumcision of their son(s) because they themselves are circumcised a…

Back in the days of patriarchy? It still exists... Anyway, a lot of the outrage, especially in the ancient world, over rape actually had to do with paternity; if another man impregnated your wife, you’d have no way of knowing and might end up raising someone else’s “responsibility,” and, yes, this was seen as a personal insult.
