It depends on if im at work or not. The food is pretty much the same because we meal prep and we have pretty strict eating plans (he weight lifts and he has taken control of my eating plan after expressing his want for me to get fit), and so everything is made and prepped sundays and set and ready for the week. If I'm home, we sit at the table and eat together, unless he wants to eat in his computer room while he games, then he eats in there. I make sure I look presentable, I don't wear makeup e…

A. Goes straight to his computer as soon as he gets home after saying hello to me and the dog, and giving a brief synopsis of his day. For he longest time I hated that he would run straight to that and now want to be with me, so I would make a huge deal about it. I let it go, and once he's done, he's more than happy to come find me when he wants to sped time

I guess your right. I have fun doing these things for me and me. If he ever told me not to I wouldn't. Isn't that what counts? That everyone is happy? And he's not necessarily dominant, but he controls the money, and gives me a budget, he works, I go to school. I mean, we're not BDSM or anything.

It's not that he didn't want to be in that role, we have been together since we were young. We move in together right out of high school. So I did what I felt I should be doing in the house. If he doesn't want something he tells me. I don't think I could ever make him do something he didn't want to do even if I tried. He's very firmly rooted, lol. *edit oops, typing quickly.

I try to make valentine's Day as much about him as I can. Make yummy food, wear his favorite outfit as a fancy new pair of underthings. Any reason I get to shower him in presents and spend time with him I love. He's very busy during the week, so I love when he take time out of his free time to spend time with me. It's the best present I get! .^ I don't usually get presents and that's because he usually buys me things if I ask for them, if i spend my allowance or if he wants to suprise me. We don…

I got scolded the other day for baking too much. A's waistline is expanding again, so he is cutting me off. I'm going to support him and not have sweets myself while I'm out of the house or he is out of the house. I'm expanding that to junk food. If it comes in a package or its wrapped in cellophane, it's a no go. So if I didn't make it, or it didn't come from an actual restaurant (no fast food allowed!) Then I won't be consuming it.

My husband isn't remotely religious. It's all science with him. He doesn't ask me to do anything and has never told me that the way it should be. I feel there are certain duties and tasks that a wife should do, and they should be done without question or complaint. I don't think my husband originally saw himself as a captain, or the "head of the household". He was placed into that role because of me knowing my place. So now he expects things to be done a certain way because it's how it's been si…

I am! I'm not very traditional though, so I'm not as strict thinking as other women. I learned what I guess would be considered submissive or obedient traits from my mother who was not only a preachers daughter, but a woman of another generation entirely. I was adopted by an older family member who was born in the 40s and raised very conservatively and traditionally. Interestingly enough because of a bad marriage, she actually broke all sorts of gender norms, and packed up and moved across count…

We have super random names that have evolved from inside jokes or things or god kids have said: Me to him: butt, snot, noodle, mister... I realize that these all sound bad but they are said with love and endearment. Most of these names were used in jest towards the kids when they were babies, and we used to call each other them to make them laugh. It ended up sticking! Him to me: baby bear, snot, waifu, snuggle bear We're weird <3

I love this analogy. This is a really good explanation for how I view our dynamic. I'm a Co-pilot, I'm not equal but my opinion is valued when requested, and I'm there to support his decisions and let him guide me. I trust him completely and try to not question him. Sometimes my hamster gets the best of me. .^

Oooo, that sounds like fun! My husband loves the movies, that's always his go to for "let's get out of the house" night.

I realized that a lot of the women here, a lot of things I do already/ everyday are things that people would do on vday. Which makes me sad for all the other men out there who only get that sort of thing once in a while. That being said.... Since I'm probably working vday, we're not doing anything. The day before is our date night though so we're going to a chocolate maker, do a tour and make our own chocolate bar. Then we are going to a Fire and Ice festival. I'm giving him his gifts on the 14t…

Can we just talk about the fact that this site is owned by disney? That lots of mom's and wives probably go to that site for advice and community? That's scary.

My husband is exactly same way. I have given him gifts that are pre planned dates so we don't have to think about it when the moment arises, we just pick one and go!

I get a lot of pressure from people who are SAHM because since I don't have children "I don't have an excuse".

As someone who struggles with the fact that I want to still go to law school and still wants to be a SAHW, I feel like that if I don't follow through and at least work in my field for a while it was a waste of the time and money he's spent supporting me and my decision. I love being home for him and everything that I do to make sure that his day goes smoothly and he doesn't have to want or worry for anything... but I know eventually we will want all of that effort to be put to use.

OMG I love Ree Drummond. I was a fan of her food blog before she was on TV, and I have always loved the time and effort she puts into her family. I like that it's very old fashioned, but it gives me something to aspire to!

Maybe not barked to silence. I used to stick up for myself and my ideals, but now I just quietly listen and let them hear themselves talk. I have a good amount of like minded friends like another poster here. There is no reason to surround myself with negative energy and people who just put me down, so I avoid it of possible.

Last week was the first week of A's new job and I'm adjusting to the time change. When I get home from work instead of having 2 hours to have dinner on the table from the time I walk in the door (me home at 4, him home at 6) I only have a little over an hour (me home at 4, him home at 5:15). It's really cutting it close some days, but it's gotten better. We had another row about paying for school. It's something I'm realizing he wants no part in, so I have to figure it out on my own which makes …

HAHAH!! so instead of a coupon do a date idea jar! On popsicle sticks write. A bunch of Date ideas, they're can be ditrerent ones, some for staying in, some for going out, so for friskyness, the possibilities are endless! There are really good ideas on pinterest, and sometimes it's just putting a fun twist on something common. Maybe a sexy scavenger hunt, or night walk and a picnic with hot chocolate and cookies and pie! Use the area around you and think about stuff that he likes, or things that…

I wear mostly skirts and dresses, but on days that I need something lower maintenence, I have different colored skinny jeans, black, olive, maroon, etc. I have very dark colored denim too. Instead of wearing a t shirt try a blouse. Pull over, button up, any kind. Jut try to stay away from traditional tshirts, shirts with words on them. No tennis shoes or sneakers. Nice flats, or low heels if you're not used to wearing heals, ankle boots, riding boots, there are so many choices! .^ go on pinterst …

Something that will make them super special is of you make them yourself! Either at a craft store or online you can get the silver "scratch ticket" paint. And get some pretty scrapbook or construction paper and write in your "coupon" paint over it and voila! Edit: sorry this response is late and you probably gave him the gift already!

I know what you mean about being read like a book. That's something I'm working on too, because the last thing he needs coming how is to worry about all my drama, when I should be welcoming him home. However, I don't even have to say anything he just looks at me and knows. I feel like this is a silly issue to have because do many women wish their men paid enough attention to know when they're down, but I know it can be a burden to them, and I don't want that.

I think this is the most common thing that A and I fight about. I'll be irritated for whatever reason that has nothing to do with us, or out home, and he'll catch wind of my mood and then get upset because he thinks it's him. I'll get more upset and tell him it's not, and he'll get upset because I'm upset that he's upset that I'm upset. I'm working on keeping external issues I check unless they are asked about or if it's our causal talk times where I can vent freely.

We met by accident online when we were 17. We dated online for about 9 months until he sent for me at the end of the school year. We moved in together after I moved here. A couple months later we got engaged (so about a year). We got married 2 years later at 20, and we are currently 25 (actually A is 26, it's his birthday today!) I do get backlash, some from my in laws or people close because they feel like I spoil him or make them look look bad. I get the "now my man thinks this is how I should…

It would come up randomly if the subject was addressed on a show or in a movie, and then we would casually talk about it, and then we would put it behind us.

It's simple, but I make french toast with challah bread. I use light cream instead of milk, and I add cinnamon, ground cloves, and nut meg. It makes it taste a little richer, and it's great for a Brunch buffet, you can make a bunch of them and slice them in half. Also frittatas are a good brunch recipie, and can be a good substitute for a quiche if you didn't want all the carbs in the crust, I'm pretty sure you can even find recipes for them with just egg whites. You cam make a couple and them s…

I'm getting back on track after submitting a huge term paper. I'm trying to work on speaking more quietly, an being gentler with my words, and less quick with the bite back. Eventually, I would like it to go away completely, but for now I'm focusing on biting my tongue, counting to ten, and thinking of the appropriate response before I open my mouth. It's not perfect, and sometimes things slip out... but I'm a work in progress.

The one I love the Most is the passion planner. I love that it ls super goal oriented, it gives you space to write the good things as they happen during the week. There us tons of stuff for ideas and random brainstorming at the bottom. There are also task lists you can rate by importance! At the beginning of each new month, there are reflection questions about the previous month. You can also get them in Chronological and school year versions!

I was going to say not really, but then I realized that the things I think are just a part of every day life that I really enjoy are actually hobbies. The gardening I like help feeds my family and it's a fun stress reliever. I read a lot of cookbooks, and make new recipes, and I consider cooking I do for fun. My social media hobbies usually consist of things that are fun for me, like talking to other people who have similar interests or live similar lifestyles. This is an outlet as well as a way…

So I haven't been lurking for very long, just a couple of days. I found you because I was searching for "submissive housewife" type subreddits. I am happy to find this.
