Maybe ask one more time or just try and have a little longer conversation when you get back, not asking to go anywhere. The age difference is not impossible but could be a deal breaker right off the bat when she finds out. The worst that can happen is she feels awkward she might want to part ways and you'll have to find another cat sitter.

Try r/relationships. If we knew how girls thought we probably wouldn't be in here haha. My advice is just in black and white say you feel like something is wrong and want to help because you don't like seeing her like that. It's probably not good if she's holding it in but if you are up front and honest and show legitimate concern it's the best shot you've got.

What if it's obvious that you haven't met before? I feel like if you go up to a stranger and say 'I don't think we have met before' wouldn't that be a bit out of context? Seeing as how there really isn't a way that you could have met before, I know it's along the lines of a white lie to get your foot in the door but just curious on others thoughts if you obviously would have never met this person before.
