How did your kids react to your divorce? How are they now?I don't push. But, I think he does. I absolutely hate the man. But I think he's nice to my kid. I just have to grow up and accept it. | /r/Divorce_Men | 03/01/25 03:36 AM
How did your kids react to your divorce? How are they now?It was rough on him. Very traumatic. He does not talk about it. But I'm sure he remembers everything . His mother is still seeing the guy she had an affair with. My son never mentions him to me in any way. | /r/Divorce_Men | 02/01/25 09:43 PM
How did your kids react to your divorce? How are they now?My kid was 5. He's 17 now and very very quiet emotionally. Rarely shows any emotion. I'd love for him to be in therapy. But his mother and I have to both sign off on it. She's dragging her feet. | /r/Divorce_Men | 01/01/25 06:53 AM

Stuck todayWaves. Remember waves. The wave of grief washes over you with no warning. The waves start coming at less frequent intervals. And you also learn to recognize the signs before it hits. My ex cheated with someone who looks just. Like.me. He even has the same birthday. (Can’t make this up) it’s cliche. But it’s a journey. One that will make you stronger. Surround yourself with supportive people and bluntly and with no apologies cut out the the ones who aren’t. You WILL get through this. | /r/Divorce_Men | 17/03/24 05:57 PM
Please tell me it gets betterIt’s the waves of grief and anger. It’s been ten years for me. The waves still come. They just come in much longer intervals now. | /r/Divorce_Men | 03/03/24 02:03 AM

Do woman give back rings after filing for divorce?Nope. It’s considered a gift. Therefore it’s theirs. Theirs to trade in and get even more money. | /r/Divorce_Men | 05/02/24 04:58 AM
18 months later and still dreaming about her every single night. Not to make it worse. I still dream about my ex. And it’s been a decade. The dreams are different now. They are just us talking, getting along. It’s weird | /r/Divorce_Men | 11/01/24 05:08 AM
I just did my "new" budget. What's the fucking point? It sucks. It just does. My ex was getting half her salary as cash for years. So when the divorce came. She only showed half of what she really earned. So I got screwed. Now I sell my plasma twice a week for 400 bucks a month. Door dash nights I don't have my son. And pull trash off the street I clean up and sell. All while she drives around in an 80000 car. Its completely unfair. But there's literally no other choice. It took seven years from the divorce to finally start making headway: you can … | /r/Divorce_Men | 08/10/23 05:50 AM
Seriously curious...The way my ex cheated with her boss, and hid her money with him so I had to pay more alimony forever made me not trust women. I have ended every relationship I’ve been in since before it got to serious. Yeah. It’s not good. I really want a partner. But I can’t seem to get over this. | /r/Divorce_Men | 09/01/23 05:25 PM
Does honest lawyers exist? My wife was being paid half her salary in cash by her boss who was also the person she was having the affair with. I couldn’t prove it in court without a forensic accountant. But they were way to expensive. She ended up getting double what she should have for 10 years. I’ve got a year and a half left. Totally destroyed me financially. Still haven’t recovered. No retirement money, nothing. Paycheck to paycheck.fixing things up I find on the curb and selling them +DoorDash is the only way to keep … | /r/Divorce_Men | 22/10/22 01:50 AM
Does honest lawyers exist?Very few are honorable. That being said. You get what you pay for. Unfortunately 400 an hour is on the cheaper side nowadays. Make sure you ask him for an itemized bill. If you think he’s cheating or padding the bill. Report them and file a complaint. Divorce attorneys are the bottom of the barrel. In the pecking order of lawyers they are beneath ambulance chasers. They couldn’t cut it as a meaningful attorney. So they went into divorce law | /r/Divorce_Men | 22/10/22 01:46 AM
Wife is trying to get me out of the houseThe abandonment argument is absolutely true!! And unfortunately. Filing first does have more advantages. | /r/Divorce_Men | 14/10/22 07:34 PM
What's it like walking away from your kids?I have 50/50. I hate when people get annoyed when I wont change plans when it’s our time together. When he’s 16. I will have only been with him for 8 years of his life. Tell me what would be so important that I would give up even one more hour with him. | /r/Divorce_Men | 26/05/22 01:16 AM
