Don't do this! If you MUST, then get some kind of contract so you have renter rights. Why hasn't he proposed? What's keeping him from taking several thousand dollars from you and then dumping you, leaving you in the lurch? Personally, i wouldn't move in unless you had a wedding date and the venue paid for and the announcements sent. But that's a personal decision. I have had friends be financially abused in relationships and this sounds like it.

Also, one of my personal standards is that I don't ever want to feel suspicious of my SO cheating. If he makes me feel like that even a little, then it doesn't measure up to my standard and I'd move on.

I haven't thought about this for very long, bet eh what the heck. Vetting: I think vetting is like measuring someone. Your ruler is your standards. In the same way you would a put a ruler up to an object to get data, you would use your standards and measure your potential SO to vet him (get data). Ex.
