That sounds really tough. Sorry she has to be controlling. Sounds like my soon to be ex. I’m assuming, other than endangerment of the children, things like cell phones, TV, etc. is the call of the parent independent from the other. Other words, at my house my call and kick rocks if you don’t like it. This is coming from a newbie, like I said.

I would need to know what rules you are referring to, in order to give my opinion. This is something I must consider as I am at the start of my divorce and have two young children.

My wife wanted an open relationship. Polyamory to be clear. I tried to go along. Sex was used as a weapon. My wife gave me an ultimatum if I didn’t agree then she will leave me. I’m happy but to be honest I’m still in shock that it’s ending. She wanted an open relationship which I just couldn’t manage. It seems she is happy to be starting down this road. I have goals for the future but it’s still hard.

I’m in the starting phase of divorce. Together for 13 years and married for 9, I was happy but when COVID hit she found herself. She gave me an ultimatum. She wanted an open relationship, a polyamorous relationship. She had someone already, her boss. I thought it could work and I tried to explore that. For months we would fight and finally after being assaulted by her father I said it was over. She is ok with that. She is happy it’s over. We have two young children. I can’t believe I’m here sinc…

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
