Another aspect that I disagree with is that this study assumes men and women want the same things. Great point. Been reading The Red Queen. They put it like this: Men look for a partner who is: kind intelligent young healthy Men look for a partner who is: kind intelegent wealthy powerful

It doesn't really matter where. No matter where you are it will be okay. Your attitude can make everything great. Standard for me is bar or music event. Usually somewhere I've been meaning to go. Depending on my schedule, inviting to errands in your everyday life is interesting. For example: "I need to buy a new suit. Come help!". "I'm taking photos at a friends event. Do you know how to...".

That's a really good suggestion. We are all at different levels. It's a way that everyone can participate and people slide up and down levels if it's too hard or easy. For example: [Challenge] Wear two different shoes out and deny that they are different. Beg - Two different socks, 3 approaches Int - Two different shoes, 5 approaches Adv - Pants on backwards, 10 approaches God - All clothes backwards, 15 approaches

I go out but nothing field report worthy. I go out for me and to improve my Japanese. If there happens to be a cute girl there, I talk to her. Else I don't care. I'm out for me. Most field reports turn into brag or fear. Personally I would prefer more challenge threads. The more interesting the better like: [Challenge] Open at least one set with a story about your childhood pet. [Challenge] Wear two different shoes out and deny that they are different. [Challenge] Compliment 5 strangers today. T…

Where in the world are you? Japan, been here 7 months, plan to stay another 14. So basically, you have a belief backed by the culture you're in that it's okay to talk to coworkers but no okay to talk to strangers. Co-workers? Students is a better description, 12-15 year old Japanese students. Occasionally I will talk with the other teachers but this is rare. They are extremely busy plus there is the language barrier. Are there any instances where it could be okay to talk to strangers? Directions…

Watching your video now and it's not helping. At work and with my friends I'm super playful and energetic but out of that environment I'm anything but. I did step 8 and feel it backfired. Now I have a bunch of reasons of how I could fail and a short pleasure list. Some of the negative reasons seem insurmountable in the time I am here. My main concern is talking to strangers and that is compounded by not being able to speak the language. The culture here values privacy and it is seen as rude to r…

Wow thank you for this! Last week I was eating in a University cafeteria and wanted to do this. I ended up chickening out and just paying for myself. The combination of not being able to speak the language and the cultural stigma (living in Japan) stopped me. Next time I'm going to do it. You might also like "Lental as anything". A Melbourne chain of restaurants where you pay it forward.
