Taking another view of this: why is sexual wellbeing not given high priority in our society? The answer is simple: women are doing just fine here, men are not. Therefore sexual wellbeing is judged to be low priority, insignificant, immoral even. Women's problems matter, men's don't. Case closed. There is no such thing as cultural, societal, or biological issues that affect men. As long as only men are affected, the issues cease to be issues. The truth hurts, and your best way of coping is to bec…

he boyfriend clearly wasn’t asleep, he was just almost alseep and in that state didn’t remember anything. That’s similar to a person being blackout drunk - not remembering anything, but being fully functional (walking, talking, fucking). That’s different from being unconscious (asleep or drunk) Having sexual intercourse with someone extremely intoxicated is usually regarded as rape. Prior to the incidence, the aforementioned boyfriend verbally consented to having intercourse, yes, but similar to…

The evidence seems to support the matching hypothesis. However, this is when finding a significant other/engaging in a relationship. When it comes to casual sex, men are generally matching with someone less attractive than themselves. Women are generally matching with someone more attractive than themselves. This is due to our sexual nature, i.e. hypergamy in women's case. Women will therefore always strive for the most attractive men but are often unable to gain exclusivity and commitment these…

Could be interesting to see if there are differences between the types of ADHD and their average sexual partner count. I can imagine the results above are more applicable to the predominantly hyperactive individuals with ADHD compared to the predominantly inattentive ones prone to daydreaming and introspection.

For summer: Aventus by Creed For winter: Tuscan Leather by Tom Ford I have tried a lot of fragrances throughout the years and those two are definitely the best ones. I can also recommend Patchouli Absolu by Tom Ford and Layton by Parfums de Marly. I can literally smell Aventus 24 hours after applying it to myself, even slightly after showering.

Notice that the participants were recruited from North America. If I recall correctly, the average height of men in the US is 5'9", and for women it is 5'4". The generalisability of the data is therefore not necessarily applicable to other countries. For example, I can imagine that women in Scandinavian countries have a preference for even taller men given that the average height for men and women is higher in those countries. Also, what women say and what women do are two completely different v…

From the study: This experiment examined whether male facial attractiveness influenced female perception when confronted with behavior that was socially unacceptable. Results showed that male facial attractiveness (or unattractiveness) had little influence on perception in common situations, but significantly altered female perception in socially unacceptable situations. I never called you incel but referred you to their subreddit where the norm clearly is to share personal reflections and attitudes without providing evidence. Once again, your imbecility prohibits you from understanding my simple point. Your reflections might be right, and the studies might be wrong, but this sub is for science, not personal attitudes. Research papers and articles are therefore the only credible source allowed, which is probably why the mods removes your BS post.

You are in no way obligated to forgive someone simply for an apology. You never had a romantic crush on her, as far as I can tell, so I would advise you to let this one slide and ignore her. Some people might change, yes, but you cannot teach a dog new tricks. You cannot know if her apology is genuinely sincere and if she has changed markedly, but if you do not reciprocate the same romantic feelings, I would advise you to let this one pass and ignore her. It is not worth the risk.

I personally prefer dumbbells. I find it easier to keep my posture straight and find it more convenient. If I place the barbell on my back, it puts too much stress on my quads, while dumbbells or having the barbell placed on my shoulders stresses the glutes more.

You should definitely be proud of your accomplishments, as I can imagine you are. While the book did not speak to me in nearly the same fashion as it did to you, I have gained similar insight, knowledge, and personal change, as you did with The Alchemist, from other books. But this is having an orgasm the last time they had sex. The questions were directed at their latest sexual encounter. Nevertheless, a key point of criticism would be that the women in relationships are likely biased towards reporting a satisfying sex life with their partner and could perhaps be lying and coping.

This is not just assault. It is battery, child neglect, abuse, and (I would even argue) torture of an innocent child who had no opportunity to defend herself. If you are willing to treat your own flesh and blood similarly, there is probably not much room for rehabilitation and you need to be locked the fuck away to protect the rest of the society.

Yeah, I'm calling BS on your comment. For example, recreational use of psychedelics such as LSD and Psilocybin can be a pleasant experience in itself and have a significantly positive effect on your mental well-being and health. Drugs in moderation do not necessarily equal adverse consequences, and the pros can easily outweigh the cons associated with it.

Should one explicitly mention their own boundaries or let the woman figure it out herself based on her common sense? I agree with your observations and thoughts. She has been very keen and intent on telling me about her sexual encounters. I believe this stems from insecurity, low self-esteem, and an alarming need for validation from her part. While women prefer men with sexual experience, to a certain degree, men favour women with sexual chastity, to a certain degree. For some reason, her preference for an experienced partner was projected on to me, which is probably why she has told me about these encounters.…

This is far from what the issue is about. The issue is twofold. First, that she got a sentence significantly lighter than what her male counterpart would have received. Second, this is not a discussion of the age of consent. Given that the boy had not reached it, she should have received a much harder sentence for raping and intoxicating a minor. His intoxicated state in mind, he was probably not in a position to refuse her advances. This makes the case even more horrid. Fortunately for her, she…

Exactly. Also, a user commented this: Well it is true that women tend to lie more about sex, which is also because they are easily labeled as "sluts" compared to guys. There have been tests where they asked a big group of females sexual questions where they had to fill in their name, then asked another group the same questions anonymously. A lot of questions had extremely different results, like how often they had casual encounters: average 1 to average 5, if they have ever cheated: 5% suddenly …

Stats on what? It is common knowledge in evolutionary psychology that men are attracted to certain traits in women (big breasts, hour-glass shape, low body fat, youth, etc.) because they represent fertility, femininity/estrogen, and health. Women with these features are therefore the most appropriate to procreate with because their genes are the best fit for our future children.

Behaviour influences cognition. Even forcing a smile on your face can result in lower stress and more positive feelings. By acting confident, your brain is forced to create a congruence between your cognition and behaviour, which results in higher genuine, "cognitive" confidence. As Goebbels once said, "If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it." You just have to keep repeating this lie (your "fake" confidence) enough for your brain to actually…

This is what I needed to hear. Not that I am incel or support them in any way, but your advice on placing our source of happiness within ourselves instead of external measures, and always strive to become the best version of ourselves. Kudos for a simple and short, yet well-formulated and fantastic post.

Try limiting meals close to bedtime. Remove all caffeine from your diet. Perhaps try sleeping without ZMA. Sometimes, I feel it makes my dreams too vivid, which can wake me up from time to time. Try skipping marijuana too. Studies show that, for some people, it can aid your sleep, but for others it can be detrimental. Also, try working out later during the day if possible, but not within four hours before bedtime.

Five to six hours because of my insomnia. Those of you who are able to sleep for eight hours or more but choose to prioritise other things over your sleep should seriously consider changing this. Also, count your blessings. I would do anything to be able to sleep normally.

Also, a study found that participants sleeping for six hours every night for two consecutive weeks functioned as poorly cognitively as those who had been awake for 48 hours straight.

Although you can probably save both of you a fuckload of headaches, resentment, and mistrust, demanding your password to Facebook and WhatsApp is nothing but infringing your basic right to privacy. This is not your problem. It is hers. Let her deal with her own insecurity. And if you ever catch her taking a peek, TRP should have taught you by now how to handle it.

I believe studies show a negative correlation between testosterone and empathy, yes, but remember that both still are not mutually exclusive. Even men with high levels of testosterone should be able to feel empathetic towards other individuals, although statistically in a more limited degree. With that being said, you usually will not find the greatest testosterone bombs and TRP gurus among psychology students, which might explain their choice of study. The latter is my personal observation, by …

There can be several causes for your gynecomastia. Low testosterone level, high testosterone level, high estrogen level, high body fat percentage, and hormonal changes during puberty. Perhaps others exist, but these are the ones I am aware of. In your case, I highly doubt it is because of the first. Are you overweight? If so, try to lose weight and see if it changes anything. If not, I would definitely consider making an appointment with your doctor and have some blood tests done to examine whet…

get your shit together I think we just found the cure for depression. Psychologists hate him! Posting a picture of your toilet after eating Indian food would make a better contribution to this thread than any advice you are able to share, including this one.

I would advice against Krav Maga. Rather do muay thai, BJJ, or similar. The lack of sparring is too big a con for me.
