Have only been in a few street fights myself. I'm not a trained fighter at all. You mention the concept of "quitting forever", full-stop. I'm curious about your opinion of AA. There is a book called "Rational Recovery", and it advocates that the solution to drinking problems is to simply resolving to quitting forever -- no excuses.
