Your hormones stay the same, as the surgery just blocks the path of your eggs. You still keep your ovaries and uterus so your body continues to function exactly as before. I had no side effects at all. The surgery was done outpatient. Minimal pain for a few days.

I got my tubes tied at 25 after repeatedly asking my doctor to do it for years. I’m 32 now and have zero regrets. I knew I didn’t want children even when I was still a child myself and never once felt differently. I always found it so insulting when random people told me I’d change my mind when I met “the right man.” The right man for me would also hate children! I’ve ended relationships because of men who would be totally unable to care for a child or support one being like “oh but muh legacy” …

I’m pretty heavily tattooed and would still never in a million years date someone with that ridiculous mess on their face. I’ve yet to ever meet someone with a face tattoo who wasn’t a degen in some form or another.

I don’t think all tattoos are a red flag. Neck, face, and hand tattoos just scream “I’ll likely never have a good job.” I personally have lots of tattoos, but they’re in places easily covered by clothing because I have a respectable career.
