When it comes to acceptance of woman beating, the actual feelings of people of Muslim and Christian faiths vary a lot. There are plenty of prominent music groups (Shia Muslims) who are deeply opposed to beating their wives and women in general while there are plenty of Christians who are least opposed to it (Anglican Christians). 3	I need help explaining something. If patriarchy is not real, why is the world's second largest religion so brutal and misogynistic? Yikes, yikes, yikes. Patriarchy and Misogyny are certainly widespread issues and I don’t think most people here deny that. However, when most people talk about patriarchy here, we’re not talking about religious institutions or really anything outside of Western Tradition (modern day Eurocentric cultures). Things like the Motherhood penalty in the US reduction of reproductive rights/support (for women) and the systemic discrimination against men in IPV support centers, social services, healthcare, prisons/criminal justice system (for men).
