I seem to recall at least one prostitution ring that was uncovered on the way back home (copious amounts of cash found by customs.) I'd say that could be a force multiplier. Pretty efficient. Prolly more than the men could do.

Find a (ethical) philosophy you like, and embrace it. Mehbe it's stoicism, mehbe it's religion. Whatever it is, it can help you focus on being happy in the moment. Never regret, carpe diem, and all that. If you want freedom from society, look up Diogenes, that dude figured it out.
