And yet right here in this thread there's a man who told me men can't be raped. It's sad.

Funny you say that about men raping other men because I had someone on Reddit arguing with me about that earlier this morning (check my recent comments). Turns out they just forgot that men can be raped by men. Which tbh, leads me to believe they only care about male victims when they can use them as proof women are bad. Male victims of men are literally forgotten about. Btw, as a rape victim who's spent the last 18 months going through the nightmare process of reporting my rapist (and it's stil…

I'm sorry you went through that, but yep... Your experiences sound so similar to mine. These guys might not actually have a handbook, but they might as well do considering how unoriginal and predictable they all are. I tried to break up with him twice before the last time and on both times he pretended like he was going to kill himself, said it was all my fault that I had made him lie to me because I didn't love him enough to accept him as he was and that he was going to change but that he had t…

I also notice that several abusers don't have a circle of friends and family/ avoid including you in their social life. I've also noticed some of them look for victims from broken families or with a past of abuse. I have two abusive ex's, both emotional and eventually escalating to physical. They both had no circle of friends. They'd often talk about friends they had, but who'd abandoned them or wronged them in some way. AND... They both were incredibly perfect right at the start. Like almost to…

I also suspect that some people are put off by how rigid a lot of the guidance and advice in the wiki seems. So like, let's say that out of the six FDS principles, you totally agree with four of them but there are two that don't sit well with you - then in my mind, that's totally fine. Reddit isn't usually like that though - you don't usually subscribe to a subreddit if you aren't all-in on what they stand for. To me, the people who are literally just here for the memes are just as welcome as th…

Totally agree! I love all her content but there was something so lovely and heartwarming about watching them explore the abandoned Flintstones park. I also loved that she took the spider out for a drink and didn't care what people said about it. I could watch her stuff for hours :)

I hope this doesn't count as derailing but your comment just reminded me about a teacher I had back at school who just hated me for no apparent reason, and he was constantly trying to assert his manly dominance over me, a teenage girl. He'd have me in tears in front of the whole class sometimes - one time he deliberately kept me back after class, started berating me, then mid-berate he told the next class to come in and take their seats while he carried on shouting at me. They were a lot older t…

You know how he went bald very young and ended up spending $20k on hair transplants years ago? I sometimes wonder if all his kid will struggle with the same thing as its often genetic, and if Elon will basically pay for them to have the same treatment as him to keep up appearances. Like don't get me wrong, there are so many awful things Elon has done that are worth talking about, and I usually wouldn't throw shade at someone for something they can't help when there are a hundred other things you…

Oh totally, I agree but if she'd known it would be this way when they were 8 weeks in then she could have walked away with a lot less heartache. I'm wondering how far in you let something go before it's venturing into future faking. Would love to hear your thoughts :)

The future faking one is really difficult for me because like, how long do you wait before you find out its "faking" and not just someone wanting to take things slow? One of my best mates has been seeing this guy for a year now and he won't make it official with her, yet for all intents and purposes they are boyfriend and girlfriend. It feels bad to me that he basically gets all the best bits of having a relationship without the label and doesn't seem to care that it's hurting her never knowing …

If you think about the Nazi's They hated everyone [...] So they really couldn't be hateful. Not sure how you reached that conclusion.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
