In most places warning shots are illegal Look man, you're not a lawyer and demonstrate a clear lack of understanding of basic legal principles. And judging from your comments you aren't a person who understands how the legal system works either. Kindly go read about the topic before you start debating about it. Please don't think I'm being dismissive, you are just very very wrong (about almost everything) and frankly I don't have the energy to address all of the instances where you were wrong.

Self defence isn't about destroying the threat, it's about dispelling any immediate sense of danger. Force used has to be reasonable and must match the level of the threat. A person waving a knife at you from 20m away isn't enough to warrant murder. However, when you pull a trigger of a gun you do so with the intention to destroy the thing you are pointing the gun at. If you watch the video there was considerable distance between the two at the end where he couldve shot at his leg to incapacitate the deceased. I'm not familiar with US courts but I can assure you thatd not be taken lightly where I'm from

Force used during self defence must be proportional to the threat. You cant go around claiming self defence killing an unarmed man in this fashion

If only he shot him in the foot. You cannot use excessive force in self defence, only use enough go escape harm or subdue your attacker. Regardless of what the other facts are in this case this is not an instance of self defence.
