First ex got married to a chef from a decent restaurant, came from an extremely wealthy family, had a destination wedding that I went to in Korea. Other ex became a lawyer, still super unstable emotionally but very ambitious, seems like she’s in a better place now. Some of my friends took her side in the breakup and have since all sort of just dumped her as a friend as her unstableness started to reveal itself.

Might just be a real lack of exposure, the Japanese people who are approachable and outgoing are more memorable, and those who would be incel analogues are just more withdrawn. I definitely feel since japan is less individualistic, imo there’s less of an entitlement culture that western incels tend to have.

I’m sorry to hear that, although I empathise, I mostly am referring to his example of using the fit, six figure engineer as a catch all versus the female equivalent to this situation.

Tbh at this point it feels like this problem only really exists on online spaces (social media and dating apps) I’m an engineer, I make make six figures, am fit, etc, and as far as I see from women who are engineers who are in my company and match my salary/lifestyle all are basically dating engineers aswell basically within comparable situations (some level of exposure bias). The problems u describe feels like it only exist on dating apps and those apps have progressively become more skewed in …

The issues are when male spaces become echo chambers, these places won’t really accept intervening opinions, have have a horde double down on consenting opinions. These spaces aren’t gonna have any of their view substantially challenged, and accelerate some more toxic thoughts.

I’m hitting 3 for 3 for my ex partners losing feelings (the problem is me)

I think when it comes to the west, the beauty standard is geared to western ideals, so I personally think a lot of issues in a racial context comes from the dysphoria people feel towards their own racial identity and the identity of their partners with what’s advertised. I’m mixed east and south East Asian, and have had the whole song and dance from “I don’t Asians” to “I wouldn’t usually date an Asian” even amongst people of my own race.

There are certainly people who are that way(imo). But I imagine they wouldn’t be in spaces such as this which fixate on hypergamy and dating dynamics. I imagine individuals like these generally ultimately have much more courting choice since they’re not restricting themselves purely on looks, and generally just living life. I think you would find a bias on these spaces because I doubt those men are malding over real or perceived dating injustices that are much more common on OLD.

it's pretty well studied phenomenon, that debates or even the injection of facts are one of the worst way to change minds. at this point, it's just a funny verbal battle royale.

yeh but the main point i was positing, is that sex work isn't the only facet of feminism, sex work can be argued to be a facet of part of feminism, but it doesn't represent feminism as a whole. And to do so is a super reductionist in these instances.

sex work is literally one of the most ancient occupations.

I’d argue a lot of the louder incels are just larping for fun. Attaching themselves to the movement as an excuse to be as edgy as they can be

I would argue that’s a whole large umbrella and a whole different can of worms. Just on the basis that Redpill = redpill Doesn’t necessarily equate to Feminism = only fans. And feminism itself is pretty much an umbrella of a lot of many different mini movements, where as red pill seems a lot more monolithic. (But I’m not gonna expect nuance acknowledgement on purge week)

That’s just a result of commodification of any movement, if there’s a large enough following, people will try to monetise it, and invest more in to it to monetise it further.

Some of the dating apps USE to have a ethnicity filter, this could be a reflection of that

I’m not black, but I can empathise since I experience very similar things in dating within my own culture, things like material possession and getting grilled by not only the partner but the partners family is pretty normal. It’s not only money too sometimes, sometimes is job prestige, and money in itself is not enough to be approved of.

I think one of the main points(or advantages) is that relationships where you have to change yourself to obtain is in itself unsustainable. Maybe the hit rate will be much lower, but I assume the point is that if you manage to get someone by “being yourself” the relationship has more potential of lasting because it isn’t strained by the constant upkeep of social masking. So whilst probably blue pilled advice, i personally believe it’s focusing on generating relationship longevity rather than gen…

No preference for height, like pre much anywhere from 5’ to 6’ doesn’t phase me. No preference for partner income, just as long as they are doing something they enjoy, although preferably not SAHM, I feel like of those that I know, feel generally unfulfilled. No preference for race I have no firm preference for body type, but I feel more secure if they are healthy in general. No preference for home I’m open to having kids but I think I would be too insecure to raise someone else’s kids. I’m 25, …

I would argue most decent guys probably wouldn’t even comment on this sort of stuff (outside affirmations of their own circle), and that leaves you with what are obviously the most calloused of statements. I mean realistically if you think of a decent mature guy (by blue pill standards) they’re probably not going to, or willing to tear people down on a whim, and it’s not like you have anything to compare with in their absence of a voice. Just a bunch of terminally online people commenting on eve…

Fair enough, and mayhaps even a social desirability bias too. But it’s to be said that realistically that even amongst these probably (struggling) men, they (as do I) certainly find a pretty wide range of women attractive.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/12/22 04:14 AM

I mean in these scenarios, it would be a majority of the surveyors basically saying “I find a majority of people presented to me attractive” so if that being the case, as far as “complaining” goes, it would be a moot point in this instance. I’m sure there’s a lot of factors to consider here, it could just be a lot of attractive men are in committed relationships and therefore a silent percentage, and the happily single attractive men who have their pick might have desensitised themselves (althou…

Another point, a survey (hesistant to call it a study as it’s okcupid) shows that majority of men find women above above average to very attractive whereas 80% of men are deemed below average in the same metrics. I think it’s a very bold claim to make considering.

I mean, I don’t speak for all men, but overly edited images always sort of dips into an uncanny valley. I’m sure on most “Instagram models” the gender ratio of followers would be surprising. I agree it definitely is a net negative in terms of how insecure I’m sure it makes many woman feel aswell, as influence men who are either terminally online or idk just feed into a cycle and that feeds into a cycle of more pronounced editing. I truly believe that most people truly aren’t that fussy.

I’m a guy, and the idea of having a SAHM, terrifies me. to be the sole income provider seems like so much pressure, what if I die, what if I get laid off, etc. I make a comfortable living, enough to support it, but I don’t think I could be with someone who would want to be SAHM. I’m very much attracted to people with their own lives, and getting too entangled their either person feels “trapped” just seems like it would breed resentment that would explode one day.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
