I honestly don’t know a better way to deal with that. The problem I’ve seen people discussing is that the law has such a low bar for awarding mothers custody yet fathers have to prove they can fill in for captain America and have the Pope vouch for them before they allowed near their kids. That’s why I think 50/50 would be a step in the right direction.

I was listening to someone ask “ who thinks about kids in a divorce ?” Kids need both parents, so the idea is to take remove the power imbalance of giving primary custody to one parent and make the parents have to co parent or lose out. Just trying to come up with a solution to mitigate not living in a stable two parent household. As much as kids from single father homes have better outcomes, they also have a maternal wound if mom wasn’t around.

There’s a lawyer who was talking about this, he had a client who was injured at work had to have his parents look after him,couldn’t work and the court went after his disability. If I remember correctly his parents had to file for the order to be vacated but it took a few months but they had to keep paying the support until the judge ruled so as not to accrue penalties and interest.

Here’s something I’ve seen, my friend’s wife is an engineer but she’s focused on social projects, she’s paid well but not as good as an engineer working for a private firm focused on making profit. The problem is that they report on people transitioning but not when those same people de transition or report regret and depression due to a choice they made when they were too young to understand the longterm consequences.
