I think you are chopping up what I am... The issue is not judging someone's looks, not sure how we managed to get there. While I think that's rude it's not why this is gross and an entire derailment. My issue is taking photos of people you know, submitting them to a -mostly- anonymous fourm for other people to judge while simultaneously taking about them sexually, that is gross, disrespectful behavior. I'm not going to prove it's a strawman, you can logically think of why it could be yourself, i…

If you won't call someone ugly to their face don't share their photo and do it here. Because it's wrong, which you just identified. Doesn't matter who does it, it's not okay to do. Strawman isn't helping you win this argument about my opinion which isn't going to change.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/03/19 11:21 PM

No one is saying anything to their faces was my point.... you're fine with calling people ugly until you have to do that to their face. You're minimizing them to their physical attractiveness, doesn't matter how you treat them after or before. It's still happening. You're right I don't understand why men think this is at all an appropriate thing to do, it's gross, dehumanizing and creepy.

It's against this subreddit rules to downvote by the way!! You are a creep if you support this bud. Humans deserves basic respect and if you have issues with that I suggest therapy and try learning compassion. Just because you can doesn't mean you should.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/03/19 11:10 PM

Weird how you are so quick to rationalize being a creep by pushing the guilt on to women. Self respect and respecting others are different things bud. You don't respect women that don't follow your neat guideline on how they should act which honestly is sad. Just because you view someone as not having respect for themselves doesn't mean should jump down to their level and be a disrespectful person. Be better.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/03/19 11:05 PM

That isn't at all what I said. You can call people ugly, but I doubt you would to their face. It's creepy, fine if you disagree, doesn't change my opinion. It's not caring about being numbered it's minimizing women to their bodies so you guys can have a jerk off fest.

How is it not? Ppl are sharing photos of people they probably know or pulled from the internet without their knowledge to be numbered for sexual attractiveness. It is creepy behavior I would expect to see on 4chan. This doesn't even have to do with this discussion form. They are fucking humans and deserve basic respect.

Easy: Sex is extremely hard to communicate for most people, so people lie and says they are great to avoid embarrassment. Also no one is going to admit they suck in bed. I'm fairly honest and I am sure there are other people who are honest as well.

I didn't cope with it for most of my life. I saw a therapist and have been seeing the same therapist for 3 years and doing DBT. Moving out and having a stable relationship helped. As well as medication in the beginning to be able to talk about the trauma. It's still a work in progress.

(F) Damn your life sounds really depressing... Literally no woman in your life has ever showed you affection?? But for real, my mom severely abused me for years and I use to hate women and think they were all manipulative. I avoided having female friendships. I was also raped and abused by an ex, as well as minor sexual assault and an almost kidnapping, I was terrfied of men. My suggestion and opinion is both of these experiences lead to illogical feelings based on fear, I suggest getting psycho…

I mean that's a little weird way of doing it and people just love calling everything a transphobe. It's pretty obvious to tell if they are trans and also trans people can change their gender in some states to show on legal papers and IDs so that would work with someone who has fully transitioned, so I personally think asking is unnecessary.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/03/19 02:37 AM

I am talking about sexism in the context of oppression if you look it up you can find more on it. Except genetically and proven through crime statistics men are more likely to commit violence so it's not an irrational fear. Women are also genetically weaker. Those are facts and aren't anything to do with sexism. I'm not denying it's not hurtful. You're not really informed on oppression theories and how it works. Google definitions aren't going to expand on it. It's something you will have to res…

Yes everything is sorta ancedotal when it comes to sociology.. Men are definitely not held to the same standards of beauty as women and that is a fair statement. I never stated they aren't held to any standards because that's idiotic to state. They can benefit from being more beautiful yes, but they aren't held to the same standards as women. They aren't, generally, raised around their looks. It is shown through media, product consumption, and general roles people are taught as children. A woman…

Anecdotal evidence is not proof, also using quotations generally means you are quoting me, I never said it was more acceptable, I said it was different. A thread in a group isn't evidence or proof it happens more to men than woman. Men are told to smile because people assume it is a good way to cheer someone up, which is not true and I agree is annoying. My opinion: Women are told to smile generally because we are constantly under a scope of society constantly expecting women to look nice, to lo…

I don't think any woman should have a child soely because the man desires it. It's not a "lazy answer" to say her body her, her choice. It's just true. She will be the one who has to hold a baby for 8 months. She will be the one who had to bear the medical bills. She's the one who will watch her body change for something she doesn't want. She will be the one who will go through hormonal changes, who will feel sick, tired, risk for health issues. Her body is the one that will birth it, potentiall…

I disagree. I am monogamous with open tendencies. I believe at 30-45% of the population has cheated on some compacity and honestly if I googled hard enough bet I could find a study that says that, because statistics are unreliable. If we are talking about married couples that is probably a different statistic. But dating wise, a lot of people cheat. Also you have to consider what is cheating? some people think porn is cheating, some people are okay with kissing other people but not fucking them.…
/r/PurplePillDebate09/02/19 03:11 AM
9

that's not how cheating works, cheating happens when boundaries and consent is broken within a relationship. if they consent and allow it, it's not cheating. it's cheating to you because it crosses your boundaries and don't consent. not to me cause i love seeing my man dick a woman while she eats me out.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/02/19 01:22 AM

yeah you cant really say it's 1/4 of people because it's probably a lot higher since it's so taboo people won't admit they cheated, also small case studies isn't something you can say is fact

USA; Well my father is what I call "redneck mexican" and very catholic and my mom is white trash and very catholic would be the best descriptors of how I grew up. My family makes a lot of "marry rich" jokes and supports the idea that men are the primary caregivers and need a house wife. I was raised to cook, clean, and be submissive to men. But I didn't listen to any of it once I became an adult.

Because Reddit is a terrible place to come for relationship advice and 90% of the time the responses are "dump them". I have my own spaces with more reasonable people who have successful relationships. Also my friends would tell me the truth just like I do with them, I would perfer to get advice from people who actually have seen my relationship and know my past than strangers who get a one sided emotional story. Though I do have a group of people who I don't know who I got to for advice.

I think to have an "equal" relationship there will always be dependency coming from both sides. Being an independent person isn't limited by depending on your partner. Example: You might be more dependent on his financial soundness. He might be more dependent on you to help him relax or be emotional support. You might depend on him to take care of the yard work, just like he might want to depend on you to have clean dishes. The goal is to be equal even though it generally will be unfair dependin…

Most men I've met who care about n-count are either really self conscious or think it means higher chance of cheating. It's also something I learned as a child. Women are supposed to be pure if they are worth anything and that women who are sexually active are dirty, whores, easy, will cheat ect. But socially acceptable for men to fuck as much as they want. It's slowly changing socially for women to be okay having more sex but not enough to change the views our parents have passed down. Overall …

Not sure what bonding and forgetting people has to do with each other but to answer no I have no issue letting people go. I am very easily able to not talk to people I once liked, usually out of respect for my long term partner or out of respect for their partners. Depends now a days it's slang for a male slut pretty much. That's how I learned about fuck boi. Someone wanted a word to describe men the way men describe women like that. They are just sluts who don't care about others feelings, just wanting to get their dicks wet. "Toxic masculinity is a narrow and repressive description of manhood, designating manhood as defined by violence, sex, status and aggression. It’s the cultural ideal of manliness, where strength is everything while emotions are a weakness; where sex and brutality are yardsticks by which men are measured, while supposedly “feminine” traits—which can range from emotional vulnerability to simply not being hypersexual—are the means by which your status as “man” can be taken away." I don't think being feminine and looking good is going to secure you a provider, if it does that dude is trading you in for a new model as soon as you wrinkle, don't sign prenups 😂. Please stop this. Unless they are literally sitting on their ass eating bon-bons all day, domestic women do pull their own weight, they just aren't paid for it, or not very well for it. It's unnecessarily divisive. I'm sorry the women in your family are stereotypical, but don't project. I was talking about myself and no one else. Don't project on my description of myself. I never said domestic home women don't pull their weight. Doing house work and taking care of kids all day is work. My family…

I would suggest him to leave her. She has trauma she isn't dealing with, slapping asexuality on it doesn't change the fact she isn't okay. She needs help and he needs a partner that is sexually compatible.

It really isn't. I don't believe men ain't shit and would never say that, could you help me understand where you received this idea that this is what I meant? Because I honestly couldn't make it with out my boyfriend so saying he ain't shit would be very stupid on my end because he is the most helpful wonderful person in my life.

I want a slutty boy. But as a slut I respect you don't want a slut and you should be honest about it because if you aren't it will cause issues. As long as you don't try to push your views on others no one should care, but they will because the shoe fits. Also not sure why sluts would be unfit for love, just gotta find someone you work well with.

That's nice but also sucks, compromising is not always a favorable thing. I'm sorry you lost a job you love. Do you have hobbies to entertain yourself, I think my issue would be I'd get bored and that I hate cleaning lol!!

It's always funny how religious people are and how they sometimes are just the worst kinda people. What job would you do if you could work? Does it put any strain on your relationship? Don't have to answer if too personal.

I wasn't asking for a universal guidelines of fairness but more of a personal situation that someone is in and how they make their personal relationship work. Does being the sole provider give you a lot of stress? I've done it with past shit partners who can't keep a job and it destroyed my stomach lol! How do you manage the stress of that, if any?

Yeah my family was very poor, working class. Always made me angry when my mom was capable of a job but made us live off a mechanics salary. I really wish people wouldn't say shit to us, but even my family and boss makes jokes about it. It's kinda annoying cause it isn't their lives.

It would be very weak of men if they couldn't control their urges. Also saying they can't labels all men as rapists which is unfair to men who can and do control their urges everyday.

You need to help your wife raise the kids from the sound of it. Maybe some family therapy or some kind of parental classes on the tough one. Your wife might be giving into her chaotic will which will make her more likely to act that way. Sounds like you have a normal chaotic 4 year old. Man I'm glad I am #childfree.

This is what I do. I am not an introvert but I have autism so I do say stupid things. Girls intimidate me. I always have the hardest time flirting with them. Just make sure you are comfortable with being rejected. There is someone out there for you. I don't know if my advice will help but I'll try? I try to date within my friend group, I go to parties even when it's the absolute last place I want to be, I go to shows, local music scenes, art scenes, community events. I dress nicely, but not too …

If they can respect it staying a friendship yes. But a lot of people have ulterior motives. I am only friends with men who I've known my whole life. I generally will not hang out with a male friend completely alone or while drinking.

I think it's easier to be a woman if you're hot and soulless. But I think the majority of males and females in the US are about the same. They both get preferred treatment in different ways.

I will have to take time to examine that. But it seems they are claiming it to be equal. I am also curious as to who was the perpratrator against these men, i.e. was it male on male rape? Can you quote where it states men experience sexual violence more and what gender was it executed from? Also as stated before statistics on this doesn't really work out too well since they are small samples. I am saving it to read later because it seems to have a great perspective, thank you!

I thought this conversation was going well but okay! Have a nice day, hope it goes better. I am just letting you know that men are also mentally abusive on top of sexual and physical. Women are generally just mentally abusive. Neither are great but men, to me, are worse. I was abused for 20 years by my mother, I have every reason to fear women, and I don't. Because I can stop a woman from physically harming me. I can't stop a man. I can stop either from emotionally abuse by leaving the relations…

I feel the same way about men. I don't feel iffy around men unless they are drunk or I am alone. You shouldn't be afraid, but it's understandable that you are. I personally have never experienced any of my friends fasly claiming rape. I just don't see statistically any support for it either (but we know how shit statistics are in this topic). False rape claims are also very very very illegal. If you are falsley accused of rape I suggest going the route of suing them. I also never see most rapist…

You're forgetting that most women also experience emotional abuse from men... It's not just sexual abuse. Personally I think both genders are capable of abuse (mental, physical, and sexual) that will fuck up someone's life or at least mental health. It's not uncommon for men and women to be emotionally abusive in relationships. However, men rarley experience physical violence from women (it does happen tho). Empathy is probably the word you're looking for btw. Edit: My personal experience, I am …

Women are bullied for these views, these views aren't common. What is common is a general fear of men, considering the amount of women murdered for saying no or denying a man, considering how much more likely you are to experience sexual assault as a woman, considering most women have experienced some form of assault from a man. There is a reason. I don't believe men are violent by nature at all but I can see why someone would.

I just don't see how flirting with someone could at all be seen as being a rapist though? I do think being seen as a creepy asshole is very possible depending on how you communicate and who you communicate with. I personally just play it safe with everyone. Maybe your friend would have more luck waiting for a girl to initiate but I know that doesn't happen much. As long as she is sober and sane, you shouldn't be afraid.
