Again, that has nothing to do with sports memorabilia and everything to do with the trust. The OP asked where all his money went and someone suggested he had a large sum of sports memorabilia which was thus “hidden” from his estate taxes because it wasn’t cash. Now maybe I misinterpreted but to me that suggests they are saying that because it was in sports memorabilia it didn’t count towards his estate value. They never mentioned him having anything in a trust

That’s a byproduct of the trust though, not sports memorabilia. You can put sports memorabilia in a trust, but just having sports memorabilia alone doesn’t hide it’s worth from estate taxes.

Not sure what that has to do with my point. I just meant you can’t have a $5mil baseball card and “hide” that from estate taxes because it isn’t money or a house.

That’s all part of what an “estate” is. The word commonly means a big ass house, but when you refer to someone’s “estate” it means the entirety of a persons holdings, of which sports memorabilia would be included (and land, cash, real estate, cars, etc...)

I don’t think you are being unreasonable. If what you said is all true judges don’t like people hiding assets and I think she needs to sharing all the stuff she has been hiding. No way a judge would let the man just not declares cars and gifted money as non-marital assets.

Right, and most people arent coming into a marriage loaded already. Even in this case, Im sure Dre was doing quite well for himself at the time, but I bet he has made the majority of his nut since then... 2001 wasnt even out when they got married, then theres his Eminem production credits and 50 cent, not to mention BEATS. World Class Wrecking Crew aint doing shit compared to that.

What state are you in? Lots of states are "no fault" divorces... AKA it doesnt matter who did what to who, everything is split evenly no matter what.
