The Comedian Andy Kaufman used to challenge women to wrestling matches on television. He'd win every time and then declared himself the world inter-gender champion. The value of direct approach vs online approach is similar to the value of picking up the phone and cold calling prospects versus sending out cold emails. There's no question it is 10x as effective, but if you can email 20,000+ people at once, then the ROI is on the side of emailing. In other words, if I lived in L.A., San Francisco, Dallas, or New York City, I wouldn't even bother cold approaching, I'd just use Tinder. Given I live in a much smaller city/state and I run out of potential matches…
