In my country “hit the wall” term is used also for women and sometimes for men. But we say it “the train is going to leave you” it is pretty much the youth leaves you and you missed the opportunity to get married while you were young. Also, this term is used when people think too much to the take an opportunity before is gone. But mostly it is to make feels women bad that they are not getting married in their 20’s

It is! I have always carry my parents last names but since I moved here it is like they “took away” my mother last name because most of forms or papers they just ask for my dads last name. After, people in doctor offices or random places they just assume that I carry my husband name so they call me or write it down his last name.

I feel that there is a big percent of men that are just ‘nice guys’ and I found it quite difficult that I will even find a decent male friend. I have been a lurker for months and all the things that I have read in this subreddit are pretty much what I have seen in men. I don’t want to date again. I want to focus on myself from now on, travel, surround myself of HVW, have meaningful social life and support other women.
