And I knew if I called the police, I would be spending the night in jail while she tossed thousands of dollars of music equipment and other belongings out into the rain. I had to lock myself in the room with my valuables all night, then moved out at daybreak. The response from people when I told them was equivalent to me telling them I'd had my hours cut at work.
