I meant to imply that men are more tentative to approach women because false rape accusations occur (at a rate of roughly 2-10%). There is always the concern that when approaching a woman, especially in a bar, there is nothing to stop her from exaggerating or outright lying about what you’ve done. This doesn’t happen often.
