Wear a condom so that you don't have to ask, and educate yourself so that you're not overly paranoid. If you make the mistake of asking a girl this question and she admits "yeah, I have herpes," it's completely rational to keep making out with her. Not only will it be really hot that you give 0 shits, HSV1 is also incredibly common and you have no real reason to avoid girls with herpes. If you want, say, 50 sexual partners in your lifetime, then herpes is just inevitable. Bring it on. I don't ha…

You should add more information to your post. I think we'd all like to help you but you don't provide clear details. Tell us more! I'd take up /u/Immadeadbird's offer. One-on-one counseling with a stranger is always useful if said stranger has lived through your crisis.

Rapelling is a serious problem on college campuses. We shouldn't joke about it. "Hook"-up culture provides too many men with the opportunity to take advantage of unsuspecting castles.

One effective method of 'engaging with female psychology' might be to read what women read. Many of the ideals/values/expectations that women will exhibit within the dating sphere are to be found within the media they consume. This has the advantage of offering you an internal perspective. It is also more respectful than seeking out books that assess women as objects of study.

TL;DR as someone above average, I can tell you that equation for good sex is a lot more complicated than [good sex] = v x (p x inches). Keep closing on flakes and embrace the positive benefit that sexual experience adds to your sexual profile, even if it's experience that you build by sleeping with flakes who never talked to you again.

I won't cut corners with you: if she was expecting the D and it's not there, she'll be disappointed. It's easy to isolate that disappointment, however. If your techniques for closing allow you to build and sustain value centered on factors other than your potential dick size, said female will not have a flight response at the sight of five inches. Look, even if you had the fateful and unfortunate habit of only drawing in girls chasing Mr. Footlong, it sounds like everything else about you works,…

I'm just concerned that I won't ever attract girls if everyone thinks that I'm gay This is irrelevant. If you are taking an active approach (approaching girls), then your approach tendencies will confirm that you are not gay. If you're curious, I'm a gay male, and I didn't find this post to be an attack on my people.

Go for it. Drop the 'casually dating' concept. Pursue partners who don't share you language: that leaves only the language of the eyes, fingers and smile. It's a very rewarding and eye-opening experience. "Partners" = Swiss + any and all locals and/or expatriates you find in the area.

I work in a Department of Computer Science, on a Science and Engineering Quad. Like the Emperor-god Claudius, you have all the wealth and power in this Valley, but none of you know how to speak. If you're having issues with these tendencies of yours, you've found a great sub to cure your ills!

Honestly, sophistication would come at the expense of what you're passionate about. I would describe myself as sophisticated (I know Latin and Greek, I read 100 books a year, I can identify Vivaldi when I hear him while on hold, etc.), but my current habits/skills took years to develop. You have to be passionate about it, but it sounds like you're passionate about something else: bioengineering. You've decided this isn't enough, and that's a mistake. Embrace what you love instead of seeking othe…

I'm sure you guys have been working hard to tamp down the flames these past few days. Thanks! Here's a seductive photo to further quench potential rage.

Just to play devil's advocate, I really enjoy waking up early (5-6am), even on weekends. I also really enjoy and look forward to the gym. I would do it every day if I had the time. That said, I feel there's a reality of social momentum. That explains my perspective and your perspective without contradiction. It's not constantly hard to improve yourself, it's hard to start the process of improvement. Once you start seeing the results, self-improvement is self-perpetuating. Habit is everything. Ev…

These are all solid. I would especially point to 7 for the young'uns. Your body is a savings bank. Invest early for the greatest returns. You can learn game in a couple months. Building the ideal body takes years, and you have to diet more carefully as you age. Whey protein is expensive. Get your parents to buy it before you're too old to ask. :p

I'll chime in since I'm fairly unique. I'm gay, so I put all of the PUA techniques discussed in this thread through a slight tilt to adjust them to my own adventures. Sex is pretty easy to obtain the gay community, but repeat customers or (gasp) a boyfriend are more difficult. This place is also just generally uplifting and supportive, and there's a lot here to boost interpersonal skills and one's general outlook on what to value and how to express and share that value.

As a Latinist, I'm loving how Marcus Aurelius popped up in the photo.
