Some issues don't really affect me, such as alimony, paternal rights, or other things related to relationships. However, outside of gay-specific rights groups, I haven't seen a group that actually argues for the removal or reduction of male gender roles. There are a lot that talk about it, but they usually frame it as a special allowance for gay men. I strongly prefer the idea that it should be independent of consideration for gay men. The core ideas should support gay people, not a special corn…

As much as I would "love" to over-analyze it, it's probably just bad grammar.

It's not an argument against feminism, its a counter argument to saying that "feminism is by definition fighting for equality in gender". Even if that's true, just saying that is not sufficient.

The Nazis literally thought the Jews were more powerful than them, and had control over the world. They thought they were helping the world by fighting an evil world power. The KKK does not claim to be about white supremacy, but rather about protecting white culture. Both of those groups believed they were morally right, and that they were bringing equality. Of course they were wrong, but the point is that just because you say you want equality doesn't mean that's what you're fighting for in rea…

I'm not sure what the sides are. I don't think it's acceptable that only males who are women should be able to wear traditionally women's clothing.

While I don't much care for the way qemist put it, I think the point was that it's only okay to act like a woman if you want to be a woman. People can't seem to accept that wanting to wear dresses or other feminine clothing means you must either be a woman or be a pervert, when in reality it's very common for people who identify as men, and it isn't even always sexual.

Use duck duck go. Seriously, it doesn't try so hard to figure out what you want, it just lets you search. As a bonus they don't keep records of searches.

Outside of feminism you don't have to say what race and sex you are before you talk to be listened to, that's why you don't "see" any black men.

Did anyone click on the citations for what she claimed MRA's have done? They do things like starting the Don't Be That Girl campaign they regularly use smear campaigns and scare tactics Neither of those links lead to something showing that. The "Don't Be That Girl" campaign (some posters) wasn't about accusing people of false accusations, and "smear campaign and scare tactics" is what they call argument and disagreement I guess.

This is how a lot of feminist statistics get started. "Did you know George Washington never existed?" yes/no "Did you know president Obama is a reptoid?" yes/no Another good format is: "Do you believe the Old Ones have come for the harvest?" Yes/Not sure

This is the text from that shirt. Not sure if you're saying you agree with it, if not you should of made it clear what it was. Anyways... I'm ignoring the ones that are just lies (3, 4, 6, 7, 8). There seems to be a theme of contradicting ideas. 1: No MRA says that there's "no problem with the gender wage gap.", but rather that there is none. Also not wanting to have to pay for dates is unrelated. 2: Are people still arguing against the fact that men are stronger than women on average? Anyways, …

as I am sure we will eventually even have our own water fountains. Calm down buddy, no need to exaggerate. No matter how crazy something sounds to you, you don't have to assume they're out to oppress you. While it's probably the minority of the people who claim to be genderqueer, the term was made and is sometimes used by people who, with actual and arguable reasons, believe that gender is purely biological, and for social reasons should be considered differently. Remember that the LGBT communit…

Honestly I don't understand why either is considered a problem. It's one thing to take the gender disparity as a reason to investigate possible sexism, but people seem to be taking it as the problem that needs to be fixed itself.

Being a libertarian just means that you're complaining about having to treat people with respect, and that you're selfish and don't care about the poor or minorities. I see that being a libertarian means you focus on individual rights, but I'm worried it comes from a place of selfishness, often ignoring lower classes. I just said the same thing twice, but one of them will get an informed response explaining why my perceptions are wrong, and the other will just get anger and cause pointless argum…

No one said that only feminism has power in the state, just that they do. A group (feminists, not women) enforcing power through government is the same as a group having power from any other means (i.e. women having power over men because of feminist influence in government doesn't make the power any less real). Reducing government power may or may not be a better solution, but it is not a solution that can be easily worked towards. We have to work within the system, in steps. Also left and righ…

Explain to me how not lauding = contempt. con·tempt noun \kən-ˈtem(p)t\ : a feeling that someone or something is not worthy of any respect or approval Technically condemn is the antonym of laud, but I feel contempt isn't far enough off to be considered false/a lie. The enemy of your enemy is your ally until the war is over. If they serve only themselves now they will serve only themselves in the future. This is conjecture, you have no reason to believe this. They aren't even an organized group. …

The enemy of your enemy is your ally. 1: They are, even if for completely selfish reasons, against feminism. (one of, if not the largest threats to men's rights.) 2: Nothing they say goes against men's rights. They being the "I don't need feminism because..." people. There are plenty of reasons to be against feminism, not just because they hurt men. If your question was about why they get space in men's rights, I think it's because it represents a hopeful change of public opinion. There are coun…

People are allowed to worry about themselves over others. I worry about men's rights and gay rights, because they both apply to me. If someone is not gay (or even if they are, but especially if they aren't), I only ask that they don't support anti-gay groups. They don't need to fight for me. I feel the same is true for men's rights.
