That book hit me hard. I sort of used to idealize the past thinking that relationships were awesome 60 to 70 years ago but that book opened my eyes. She talks about how men are straight up used like tools even in traditional society. I'm not in the military, but from what I've heard and read from service men, it's always the men who get fucked over by women. Women promote easier and have a lighter load than men in general. They also intentionally get pregnant to avoid deployments. They issue more complains than men and are probably the biggest reason the military has gotten super pc lately.
