I think it makes sense and seems valid. Eye contact is a great way to gauge interest and maintaining it during conversation can also help you escalate

I would say so. I've known, on some subconscious level, the different strategies and concepts from years of trial and error but studying game has helped clearly define them and gives you a better overall game plan when it comes to approaching, going on dates, etc. This, and reading more about "inner game" has also helped with lowering my approach anxiety a great deal. What I like to do is just ask the girl how her day is going or just make comments about the surrounding environment whenever my mind goes blank. Things like "Do you come to this place often?" when you're at a bar or "That's a pretty cool [literally anything on her body]".

Just wear something form fitting and that you are comfortable in. No need for perfume/cologne or fancy hairstyles. I know you've heard this a million times on this subreddit but what's important is having confidence when you approach and just being yourself. I have plenty of friends that I go out with who do not give a fuck what they look like but they're cool dudes and all have a fine time talking to girls.

Is your school big on Greek? Maybe think about joining a frat. It's a great way to meet new people, make friends, and have parties and mixers with TONS of attractive girls that are looking for the same things that you are. Everyone that I know who joined frats in college had a girlfriend by their sophomore years (unless of course, they weren't looking that a committed relationship)
