We met in highschool during the fall of freshman year when we were 14, we had study hall together. He "asked me out" almost immediately, and we have been together since. We have built a beautiful life together and learned a lot. We got married a little over two years ago and will be celebrating our ten year anniversary in a couple of days! We also have a baby on the way now. I am so grateful for him every single day! Don't know what life would be without him.

I just started wearing a silk lined bonnet (more like a beanie) to bed every night and my hair is already so much happier! Bouncy and shiny when I wake up instead of frizzy and tangled.

My husband and I live in an unconventional, rustic type of dwelling. For a job that I only work 15 hours a week, I sure do bring a lot of silly drama and complaints home to my husband! I know that he tires easily of hearing about my dysfunctional workplace, so I will try to be mindful not to do this!

Try gardening! Start with just a couple of herbs on your kitchen windowsill and work up to an outdoor plot if you have the space. I love cooking with my own vegetables and making arrangements with my own flowers. To me, nothing feels more feminine than tending all of my plants, especially barefoot with a wide brimmed hat!

I also have a husband that comes home from work dirty and have to constantly clean the tub! I've found the best thing for our (cast iron) tub is one of those Mr. Clean Magic Erasers. Works like a charm for me!

My husband and I don't have kids yet (working on changing that though! :) ) so I don't have any mom-specific advice, but I look forward to seeing what others have to say! My husband and I were 22, after being together since we were 14. My advice is to celebrate anything and everything--we went through so much champagne in the first year! Make time for long walks, happy hour picnics, moon gazing and morning coffee in the sun. Cut down on technology/phone usage and instead work on creating and crafting.

A favorite for my husband is tacos. I usually cook and season ground beef (or cubed chicken or whatever) and roast some onions, peppers, beans and whatever veggies I have during the day and stick it in the fridge. When I know he'll be home from work soon, I arrange shells in a casserole dish and fill with the meat, veggies, salsa and cheese and stick it in the oven until the cheese is melted then sprinkle chopped cilantro on top. My husband and I live in a somewhat unconventional dwelling, and our only heat source is a wood stove. Not only did my husband cut down all the trees and split all the wood, but he wakes up EVERY 3/4 hours EVERY night to stoke the fire, and has not complained once in the two winters we've been here, and won't let me take a turn. And he's super handsome!

It's got a nice mix of cooking, cleaning, gardening, crafting, and homemaking...but perhaps a little more suited to those of us who are more into a homesteading/rural lifestyle 😁

My husband has absolutely transformed me into an outdoorsy person. Before him, I had never hiked a mountain. Now we're peakbaggers finishing lists! I can also name tons of plants, Latin too, because of his expert ID skills. Additionally, I could barely throw a frisbee before him. Now we're practically addicted to disc golf and play almost every evening. We have so much fun, I highly recommend it!
