I feel you. I’ll try not to repeat any of the advice already here. I’ll just say that this probably happened to you as a warning lesson. I’m always conflicted between offering help (especially after someone expresses a need for help that I can offer) versus minding my own business. Even though I’ve only gone through smaller versions of what you have, I’ve taken it as a warning from “Universe/God/Higher Force”. It always takes time, but eventually I’ll find myself grateful to learn the easy way, …

Moving to Tokyo is the best decision ever xD and my Japanese is far from perfect, too. I’m not sure how much you know about Japanese fashion, but just in case you haven’t heard of it, I recommend you look into “otona kawaii/ 大人かわいい” (literally means adult cute) if you like GRL’s stuff! It’s how most women here dress in Tokyo. 😊

I can't really answer your question, but as someone who lives in Tokyo, I'm very suspicious of the quality of clothing from newer Asian online stores. If the look is what you're going for, it's probably no problem, but the feel and smell of the fabrics can be uncomfortable sometimes. Some of them just somehow look extra cheap and "plastic" in person, too. If possible, I'd suggest looking into finding second-hand online stores from Japan or close to where you live! There's a pretty reliable secon…

Any advice or hacks regarding knitwear? What's your usual routine cleaning and storing knit sweater, dresses, etc.?

In undergrad now and can confirm this is true lol. Most of us are scared/traumatised abt not getting along with others and rush immediately to known safe spaces.

I agree. I can’t help but disagree with the rest here that this is about “communication”. It looks to me he’s communicating that he isn’t thinking enough about how she might feel about him being on multiple dating apps (or that it could cost their relationship). And, honestly, he might just be open to “communicate” because his ego got bruised once OP left. I wouldn’t settle for a guy like this, nor would I encourage a friend to spend more time on a guy like him. OP shouldn’t have to jump through…

It’s comforting to come across someone who’s handled similar people lol. Your “friend” sounds unstable and dramatic and, as someone else put it, plain dangerous. In my opinion, there are just some people you will never have an easy time with and can never, EVER, be reasoned with. Idk why so many internet famous people are like this. And I think it’s completely reasonable to block her and let her blow up, esp since you don’t want to be associated with her. I wish I blocked that woman instead of t…

I feel like I’ve experienced something like this, but in smaller dose. I can sympathize with how stressful this is and I’m wishing you the best. I don’t have any advice on how to distance yourself from her, but I’d brace myself for this “friend” to play whatever nasty card she has in her deck to manipulate you and others. Meltdowns, backstabbing, etc. It’s a difficult situation you’re dealing with and I wouldn’t be surprised there’s no peaceful way out. Idk if what I’ve gone through is in any wa…
