Excellent post. I have very sensitive skin complete with atopic eczema that can appear anywhere from navel downward. I used to get Brazilians but they don’t last and I got awful ingrown hairs. Shaving even with new razors and soothing shaving cream just kills my skin. When I looked over the cost of shaving, waxing and preservation of skin - laser was a no brainer. Even after a handful of sessions I have to shave sparklingly since your grows in different cycles but it is so much better and less s…

This kind of view of “rape” after the fact demeans and diminishes true sexual assault that many men and women experience. Just because you change your mind later or regret it later or decide you didn’t like being a sex worker doesn’t mean you were raped. I can’t stand people who perpetually need to be a victim.

Yeah at first I thought you were being insecure and overbearing and then I saw that post. It’s material and feels off to me as well. :(

I was wondering what the trigger was. My bf likes to look at the gonewild or boobs subreddits heck so do I. I could not care less if he upvotes. However these are strangers. Have no idea where they are from. They could be in Australia. I WOULD have an issue if he was liking women that we could know. To me one is porn. The other is a weird intimacy.

Keto just wasn’t for me. I do a macro coaching program. It has completely reProgrammed how I treat food. Although it was trying to do Keto that did break me of wanting sugar in drinks, etc. I am happy drinking tea and coffee without any sugar and I have found plain Greek yogurt with freeze dried strawberries a nice treat. You are right eating right is more expensive. Processed foods are far cheaper!

I am a woman and was 288 at my heaviest. I only need to lose 40 more lbs to be not overweight. When I was at my heaviest and while losing weight I was never attracted to fat men. It may be because I wasn’t always fat and I preferred a more fit lifestyle. Although I didn’t try to date when I was at my heaviest. I thought I looked like a train wreck I didn’t expect the men whom I would be attracted to also be attracted to me. I got happier with myself first and then I started dating.

Same my partner he is well educated and he wanted the same. Someone that could understand his work and challenges. We have similar analytical type occupations with enough similarity that we both enjoy those conversations. Like me, he has cleaning ladies. We both prefer to spend the little leisure time we have doing other things. I have a friend who married into a very affluent family. Family has money and political ties and desired a specific type of wife. She is a cardiologist. He is a partner …

I have never understood the need to use another person for a meal or drink. If I want a meal? I’ll go and get one. I think I got very lucky... no doubt. My partner is good looking and has all of the things many women (superficial and the non-superficial would like). He had dated someone a decade younger than me right before we met... but like he told me he KNEW she was looking for the role filler of husband at ANY cost. She was pissed when he decided to be exclusive with me. Laughs. She called m…

I am not a 10 lol so I know I am not going to attract someone solely on looks. But I intentionally went low effort on even the pics. Aka I didn’t want to have an over idealized presentation of myself. Rather this is what I look like and what you can expect to see daily.

I am a student of human nature. I find people fascinating. I was raised to be super conservative and religious. Grandma wanted me to go to college so I could be a good conversationalist for my husband during dinner parties. I spent almost two years in France as an exchange student (long story) and learned a lot about myself and wants. It was a lot of deprogramming. With that said, I don’t really subscribe to certain actions or another. I try to live my life like this: treat others how I want to …

I am a data person even before I started reading about online dating I quickly realized men would swipe right on most anyone and then filter out. The studies are pretty conclusive that men have to do that due to how overly selective women are in swiping based on appearance, contents of the profile. I am a woman :) born as one and recognize myself as one since good lord these days you have to specify that. I did have a bio at one point which read - “looking to meet people. I have a demanding trav…

*laughs* I didnt put barely anything in my profile. I didn't see the point - my experience most men never read the profile (probably due to how swiping has to happen for men) and I am not that great of a writer. I figured if we wanted to meet in person for a coffee he could ask anything he wanted as I could as well. To me that meant more than wasting more time with each other on texting or other such bullshit.

I met my partner (man - I am a woman) off of tinder. We have been together for over 2 years now. I am now 43. So it could be different for younger men and women. Tinder, bumble, match, etc they were all the same population of men. I used it ONLY to quickly meet folks. If I saw something remotely interesting about the man I swiped right on him. If he went to something pervy, I thanked him for his time and wished him luck, and unmatched. I didn't have any of the shit show most people complain abou…

It is especially bad at banks. Many jobs have VP in title. I think it has to do with signatory ability or sthg.

VP of large companies are a dime a dozen. SVPs are as well. EVPs? You are starting to thin the herd. Having done payroll and consulted in HR a VP in f500 (or even in a f50) that salary is not out of line.

I also live in a pretty big college area. A lot of college girls may end up hooking up for some drinks purchased and for fun... but as you said it’s pretty much flings. I like monogamy. Having a partner is so much more fulfilling when you truly have someone who shares values, ambitions, hobbies. My bf and I are not going to have kids - we are both too old for that so we probably will never get married (unless he loses all of his health insurance and even then I would prefer to cover him as a dom…

Possibly. But i go back to most women are looking for security. Men are mostly looking for other things. Like I said earlier I could not care less what people are in to but I also think people shouldn’t delude themselves that the young hotty is into the older more financially secure guy for his personality and isn’t looking at his ability to treat her. If he comes up broke or not willing to spend on her he may find that she moves on to another. And hey she may find he decides to move on if she d…

Maybe a good chunk. I never had a desire to profit off of someone else’s efforts. Plus I never wanted to be beholden to someone else when it comes to money. If I want to buy XYZ I will because it is my money. l don’t need to ask permission. I had an aunt (she is deceased now) he spent most of her life monkey barring from one man to another. Okay sure. They are celebrities and witu that comes VERY unique privileges. I travel A LOT for work (before COVID) the vast majority of people do NOT look like Hollywood whether I am in LA, NY, Chicago, Tulsa, Paris, etc.

They are prime because you represent what I said earlier: security. A LOT of women play the cool girl who will be okay with casual encounters because they are HOPING you will see that they are different and make it more official. The ONLY women I know who do not care about money are the women I know who are making six figures and higher in very skilled and educated positions. He KNEW she was looking for her husband and to stop working altogether so she could lay by the pool and day drink. She was ANGRY when he cut off contact with her after we got serious. I know quite a few women in their late twenties and early thirties who prefer older men for one reason only: security. Not to say there are not some very good looking older men but as another poster said the biggest reason a younger woman chooses a guy who is significantly older than her is because of security and promise of better income, life. Let’s all be frank with each other. Older men who are established are trading their financial foundations for tits and ass on a younger woman. As a woma…

I saw an awful post on relationship advice I think where the husband was misled by his wife with her stopping birth control without telling him. The idea of doing something without your spouse’s buy in and knowledge is beyond repugnant to me. I feel for the guy that he has seen in nine months what quality of person he is now legally entangled with. Awful.

I am incredibly blessed. We are not perfect by any stretch but it has been the most healthy relationship I have ever been in. I have these moments where I think how often did we drive down the same street during commutes and never meet each other. Maybe. I had a timeline frankly. When it was no longer “ok” for me I was leaving. We had a moment that he knew it was coming to that. He knew the day I showed up and that was when we talked about what we wanted our future to be. I had zero resentment even that morning when I knew I was going to exit stage left. I had cherished all of our time up to that point. If I have learned one thing in life is that you can’t force anyone to ever want you or be with you. If they don’t choose you on their own…

6 months is definitely honeymoon stage. I don’t think my guy and I had even uttered let’s be exclusive with each other at that point (and we were spending almost EVERY day together after work). To be fair I was exclusive at that point. Lol. And he was too but he wasn’t ready to lock it down quite yet and I was giving him time even though I was absolutely sure what I wanted (he had been burned by a divorce and another LTR). I loved your post. My bf is far from perfect. Ditto!!!! Shoot me in the head if you just want me to sit down and watch tv or go shopping or just lay out by the pool. My mom used to say about me that I wanted to play like a boy and dress like a girl which is pretty accurate. Lol. I love being dressed up and looking nice but I love sweating and being challenged. I think the women who have hobbies are too busy to do most of the other stuff she is talking about. My best female friend is an equestrian - at a top level. She is constantly training horses or herself. I have another friend who is a runner - she spends most of her time training for ultra marathons. My bf introduced me to shooting. My free time? I spend training. Yesterday I spent hours working on my standing position on my 223 service rifle at 200 yards. He worked on his load for a vintage snip…

Probably didn’t mean to say the word valid. But even as he told me what does a man at 45 have in common, truly, with a 20 something? My life experiences in my 20s were nothing compared to what I appreciate and or like now. It’s night and day. My guy didn’t want just a hot twenty something. Damn I had felt some compassion for her and then since you are familiar with her posts this. Lol. I do think that OLD makes people disposable. The apps are engineered with gamification in mind to keep you going back. I think it is hard to find someone you truly connect with and have the same values. It’s not impossible but it is hard. I just think she is rather emotionally devastated at this point.... I didn't take it that she is wanting for everyone to be like OMG Girl you so good crown up. I read some of her other comments... one guess I had since she mentioned she has done group play with her current or rather now ex-boyfriend maybe he felt that she was only willing to open up and do those kinds of things with just him... Well... if she has come all the way around and is no longer so self destructive.. then I imagine it would be "ok". But I personally, as a woman, would have zero interest in a man with her background as well. Like... I think if someone just has tons of partners.. its just not someone I am interested in.. we do not have the same type of values. I also would be very reluctant to date or be serious about anyone with a past addiction - whether that is alcohol, drugs, or food, etc. Addictive behavior …

Agreed. She is not proclaiming she is entitled. I never made the same type of egregious bad mistakes she did in life but I am not exempt from having made bad decisions. I imagine he cannot handle the reality of her past. Which is fair. I wouldn’t be able to handle that baggage and reality either. I wish both of them well in truth. No one is a winner here.

Hah! I think both are creepy. I think long lasting meaningful relationships have to have more going for them than just physical or monetary. I had an aunt who spent her life going from one husband to another. My grandfather once said he thought it would be easier to make your one money than to continue to marry it. So in either situation both sides I think are way too superficial. Now for the brief fling? Go after just the superficial. But neither side should be in awe when they realize that the…

I don’t root for them anymore than I root for older men to go out and get young women. Most men are drawn to the physical and most women are drawn to what the provider may provide. As long as both parties know the real deal then that is up to them. I do think neither party should be delusional about what attracted either one to the other. A young woman going out with a soon to be middle aged man may be looking for more of a provider whereas that man is mostly looking for young tits and ass. They…

Actually @mustangfrank I like that you made a thoughtful reply. My point, I was trying to at least provoke a discussion. One thing I read on here is that women are heavily criticized for trying to lock something down and thereby going through many different men to try to get to that point or to find one that they think should be the one. Perhaps your wife would not have been as interested in you if you were her same age with smaller prospects, who knows. Perhaps she truly fell in love with you a…

I mean is your wife any different than the women being discussed below who in their early years are riding the carousel with older men? With the exception she latched on to getting married? You are right. I have had to tell my girlfriends that their idea of exclusivity doesn’t mean anything until both they and their partner discuss it or not. I am in a relationship now but I never once assumed exclusivity until he and I discussed it. I don’t disagree with you. Just don’t go after the girl who is looking for cows. I think the worst thing for anyone to do to the other sex is to truly deceive the other. If you know the girl is looking for a real true relationship then don’t try to sell her cows when all she wants is the hat. On the other hand if a girl is only looking for hats and nothing more except to be wined and dined and fucked... she shouldn’t be trying to sell cows either.
