It's not too late, but it could take time. I went through a similar thing. It took me about a year from wanting to make a change, to meeting a guy I have a future with. A way to start is to completely remove yourself from the environment. Stop hanging out with friends who are in that lifestyle, stop talking to men who pressure you to make bad choices. Completely purge your contacts and social media. You might find you have a lot of free time to pursue good habits and commitments, and maybe even …

Teenage relationships are rarely worth investing in. Maybe now he's your everything, but in 5 years you'll probably feel very differently. Focus on your education and move on.

Yes. He was married so I get jealous of that sometimes.

It makes me feel bad because I wish I'd shared all of my firsts with him. I love him and want to give him everything I can. But I feel better knowing that all of my bests have been with him.

The majority of downsides of divorce only apply when the man makes more. I don't know what your future careers are, but right now you're the breadwinner. There is a strong anti-marriage sentiment in the RP sphere, even here in RPW, so don't let other commenters make you feel "unreasonable". Ultimately, you have to decide how important a legal marriage is to you. If you decide it is, you have plenty of time and options ahead of you.

During summer/fall I wear casual dresses with flats or sandals, my hair in a ponytail and minimal makeup. It doesn't make me feel overdressed at all. No one is really paying attention to what you wear anyway.

It sounds like he's holding marriage over your head to control you. Expecting you to stay home all day is unreasonable when it affects your mental health. I'd say move on.

The part about my friend was an anecdote to give context and was not meant to be the topic of the post.

I do know her, and I know that she’s the kind of person who needs to have designer everything and can’t boil water. She was the one bringing my relationship down bc our Valentine’s Day wasn’t expensive enough. I only mentioned that anecdote to give context to my question, not to ask advice.

I’m judging because she judged me for not “receiving enough”. I do add value because I want to and care about him. Other than that, this post was intended to be a general discussion, not specifically about my relationship. I’m happy with what I have but thanks for your advice.

I’m not against traditional roles. It’s not very feminine IMO to expect your man to cook for you and wait on you hand and foot. Why would my friend’s bf tell me that she’s using him? That seems counter productive for him. I didn’t go into too much detail on their relationship but it’s clear she doesn’t provide much but sex. I have talked to her a couple times but she’s unwilling to change her attitude. My boyfriend and I are well off, maybe more than them. We’re just frugal.

Well as I wrote in my post, plenty of women are able to keep a man with that kind of attitude. No one wants to live with their parents forever, most women want to take without giving.

Materialism doesn't matter to me- I was writing from more of a general standpoint. I'm very happy with what I get from my boyfriend.

I would say focus on school and building good habits. If you are responsible with money and don't drink to excess you are miles ahead of other 18 year olds.

I said it first, after 6 months. He had been dropping hints but I knew I'd have to be the one to make the leap. He kissed me on the forehead and said it back :)

I think your parents' terms are reasonable. Personally, I know my boyfriend wouldn't be comfortable with me having a close (hetero) male friend, and vice versa. Like you, he thinks guy friends are just waiting for an opportunity. It's not abusive/controlling as long as you both agree. Your boyfriend seems pretty open and honest about his female friendships so I wouldn't worry.

I might hold back to make sure there's a foundation there, and we're on the same page, before sex. I'm not attracted to men who are unintelligent and irresponsible so I wouldn't go further than friendship in that case.

You're only 21. You have plenty of time to find a good man who also inspires your attraction.

Very few women in their early 20s are interested in marriage in the near future. My generation tends to see marriage as some far off thing for when you're 30. Only one girl I know is actually planning to be married within the next few years. The rest are far from anxiously awaiting a proposal.

It's not realistic to expect every man to be comfortable saying "I love you" within three months.
/r/RedPillWomen26/06/18 08:06 AM
You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
