Advice that I have gotten from women tended to be "tell her how you feel" or be "chivalrous" (opening doors and giving little gifts and such.) In other words, things that seem to work in movies, generally assuming that said girl already has feelings for the guy. (In real life this often comes of as coming on too strong.) I think women try to speak from what they learned from movies/TV because they feel that this is more reflective of "most" women than their own. Even if their own preferences are…
