11	Talking with strangers.. I'm going to make a comment that might not mean much to you at this moment, but I think it will later. Right now, at your level of self-consciousness, it's all about you. You are trying to meet your own needs better by making this effort (and good for you!) and you're hoping to feel better in the world over time. 3	Talking with strangers.. I second this--have you ever noticed in some chain stores, every time an employee passes you they'll greet you, and it usually feels quite genuine. When I worked at a Safeway grocery store, I soon really liked doing that, because acting confident and welcoming makes you feel that way and brightens your mood. Just a hi, how are you, a nod, how's it goin'--in all those places where you regularly go--go for it. You are a regular, it's your place, just act that way.
