The fuck are you talking about? If he would have put the baton away and freed up his other hand he could have easily controlled the situation

If you're genuinely kind to a cop, they tend to be pretty cool back. Unfortunately that has not been my experience

Well, you're incredibly lucky. I'm the epitome of privileged and I don't get the leeway your bf has and my less white, less affluent friends have had even worse experiences

You'd be surprised. A friend/acquaintance was dating (now married) to a whale-ish girl (beluga?) and we were all getting coked up. She turns to the group and says "who wants pizza rolls?" to which no one responded. She then made a box of pizza rolls for the group and proceeded to eat them all.... then a second box.... The rest of us were so geeked up the sight of food was unappealing yet she downed 2 boxes like a champ

Like most issues there are a large number of contributing factors including women not being as assertive when it came to asking for raises

Because society places emphasis on certain activities that men or women 'should' do. Boys are often encouraged to pursue engineering or math while girls are steered away from it. Then, once in the work place, people discriminate against their work, they are less likely to be promoted, and are often not offered opportunities that their male counterparts are despite being equally qualified.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
