The funny thing is that I oppose capital punishment. It is nevertheless true that some people DESERVE to be executed, but SHOULD NOT be executed. Even if we just acknowledge the disturbing history of police framing people, well...

What guarantees that the small tribe on the island would be egalitarian? Population number. You said 100. It would be virtually impossible for a would-be "alpha male" to take control of the island. If he did, he and his cohorts would be quickly killed. Do those guarantees apply to society at large today? Yes and no. Humans have an instinctual urge toward egalitarianism, but they also have an instinctual urge toward dominance hierarchies. If you want my opinion about who is winning, it would obvi…

She certainly deserves to be executed. Would you strenuously object to the execution of a serial rapist? Well a false rape accusation is just as bad. It turns your life into a living hell. Consider the case of the ex-boyfriend of Mattress Girl. This woman accused 15 men, and even got one of them put away for over a year. If this story is accurate, of course she deserves to be executed. But I don't support the death penalty. I don't trust government bureaucrats to decide the fate of men.

Amazing. She manages to turn the pussy pass into oppression against women: they are "deviants" in the criminal justice system, ie they are less likely to be arrested, charged etc. I wouldn't be surprised if the vast majority of people assume that the relative lack of women in prison is simply a reflection of the relative lack of female criminals. Even though a UK study determined that 5 out of 6 male criminals would be free if they were treated like women by the police and courts. In other words…

If men who love "beautiful things" have that tendency rooted out of them why do they love women? Or at least some women? Not including Ms. Ford of course. Relax feminists, I was talking about inner beauty ;) And how to explain all those male artists if ol' Clemmy is correct? You'd think the likes of Monet and Kurosawa had female given names. Sick of giving this bitch attention. Maybe I should stop.

No self-respecting men should use to the terms "alpha" and "beta". You're essentially defining yourself according to female sexual selection. That's weak.

And you are apparently incapable of understanding the concept of duality, which is very obviously present in human beings. Both egalitarianism and despotism are "natural" because we have instincts in both directions. We are perfectly capable of adapting to both hierarchical and egalitarian societies. The vast majority of our history was egalitarian; this was because we lived in relatively small nomadic bands. Attempts by a single male to monopolize resources and females would lead first to hosti…

I am in no way disputing that men are subject to severe discrimination when it comes to domestic violence laws. This case is different. The abuse was chronic and occurred over a 14 year period. The children lay awake at night dreaming of ways to murder their mother. And the father had literally thousands of opportunities to document the abuse. We can acknowledge discrimination against men on issues of DV while also not attempting justify abject cowardice.

Thank you for reading this and not judging us before you know more about us. Sounds a little pathetic to be honest. I would also ditch or shorten the third paragraph. The reading list could also use an update. For example I would include Legalizing Misandry by Paul Nathanson and Katherine Young, The Second Sexism by David Benetar and The Privileged Sex by Martin van Creveld (though that last example may be too provocative).

The biggest irony is that studies on shared parenting show it is also in the best interests of the mother. So the feminist position is basically "I hate men so much I would rather women and children suffer than men get a fair shake." I think there's also a lingering but intense resentment over the growing body of research suggesting that men are crucial to child rearing. Sort of puts a dent in the whole "patriarchy" thing.
/r/MensRights07/09/17 11:34 PM

lol. His argument is that we have tendencies both toward egalitarianism and despotism. Which is plainly obvious. In hunter-gatherer bands egalitarianism wins out because they are nomadic and there is no food surplus. My "source" is the entire field of anthropology. Boehm merely posited an hypothesis (reverse dominated hierarchy) to explain how hunter-gatherers are able to remain egalitarian. The egalitarianism itself is not disputed by literally any anthropologist. You are arguing for a position…

If people "naturally" wanted to be egalitarian, they wouldn't need to threaten non-egalitarians with murder if they didn't share, now would they? Natural: being in accordance with or determined by nature natural impulses. Did you think "natural" meant the "absence of conflict" or something? Hunter-gatherer bands are radically democratic, meaning that the majority preempts any attempt by an individual man to hoard resources and women and generally dominate their fellows. Egalitarianism arose from…

Most of the things he characterizes as "gender flipped" absurdities are actually the better way to see the issue concerned. Not necessarily better, just more consistent with the male experience of gender. He acknowledges "these made-up explanations aren’t actually completely wrong." In the case of the earnings gap the made up explanation is much more accurate than the feminist explanation.

If by "lost" you mean "every expert in the world agrees with me" then, okay. What accounts for the difference between primate bands and hunter-gatherer egalitarians? The absence of a disposition for dominance? Not likely. In Hierarchy in the Forest: The Evolution of Egalitarian Behavior, anthropologist Christopher Boehm argues that we share with chimpanzees and bonobos a tendency toward despotism. Yet nomadic hunter-gatherers have nevertheless been uniformly egalitarian, seemingly for thousands …

But what about that third island? They'd be advancing left and right. Men would achieve more and more to compete for the women they want, and female hypergamy would keep women wanting the best men. That's not how small societies work. In small societies men create coalitions to prevent "alpha" males from hoarding resources and women. In your island example, if the society had abundance you might eventually see a hereditary chiefdom develop, but it would be based on highly egalitarian principles …

Interestingly Stephen King is apparently writing a novel called "Sleeping Beauties" where all women suddenly fall asleep and men are left to themselves. Pretty sure King is a feminist so we can protect the hellish dystopia that will follow. I love women so I wouldn't want to live in such a society. I just want to see the MRM succeed. We also have to consider that children may need mothers as well as fathers, and not just for breast milk.

In addition to being a made up stat (the vast majority of accusations exist in a gray area) it's irrelevant. It wouldn't matter of 0.1 percent of accusations are false. Our justice system is not predicated on the prevalence of a crime. Would they be okay with a certain percentage of women being raped, provided it's a small number? These people either don't understand the basic concept of due process rights or (more likely) they have so much hatred toward men that they have no problem seeing men …

YOUR MOVE FEMINISTS. Dozens of studies have all shown the same thing: shared parenting is in the best interests of the child. You claim you're "not like those man-hating feminists." Well, put your money where your mouth is. Demand that feminist organizations reverse their position on shared parenting, or become an anti-feminist. If you care about the well being of children those are your only two options.

Virtue is its own reward, as the saying goes. We should fight for justice because it is just, not because we have any reasonable expectation of success. It is my personal opinion that if the MRM does not succeed we will be looking at social collapse. You cannot give one sex all of the privileges and none of the responsibilities and expect stability and progress.

If 50/50 was the default women would know what to expect. We'd also see dramatically less cases of men murdering their spouses after divorce. Divorce rates would almost certainly decrease. Parental alienation would cease to exist. Male suicide rates would plummet. Children would be much safer since non-bio dads and mothers are more likely to abuse them. They would be healthier and happier and less likely to become criminals and drug addicts. Generational violence would decrease. The alimony issu…

"The best thing she could do is disappear," said one former Clinton fundraiser and surrogate who played an active role at the convention. The very idea of trying to micro-analyze relative levels of "privilege" among homeless people is obscene. Like I said it's a strong indication that the modern "left" -- dominated by middle and upper class feminist academics -- is completely bankrupt. You're literally making up a conspiracy about feminism claiming it's some right wing plot. It's not actually a theory. There is an extremely well documented history of the great capitalists funding feminism, especially from the second wave onwards. They're actually criminalizing male biology, eg the way men sit on subways. So apparently a man spreading his legs an inch too far on the subway is worthy of immediate concrete legal action by the state, but minor affairs like men not being to able to see their children or being sentenced to much longer prison sentences should be fought by a "shift in social attitudes" (A shift that has to come solely from men, mind you). Toxic masculinity is associated with behavior typically engaged in by males that is harmful to themselves and others. Physical violence is sometimes cited. Anita Sarkeesian even described school shootings as "toxic masculiniy". The feminist in OP cites things like "anxiety" and "depression". Huh? Hierarchy and female sexual liberation are incompatible. That is the brutal truth. The majority of males will eventually drop out of the game (see MGTOW), causing the society to fall into sharp decline. This pattern has been documented by anthropologist JD Unwin. We can delay the decline by immigration but eventually all males will be subject to the same dynamic. There would appear to be only two solutions to the problem: anarchism or traditionalism. Futuristic technology could also solve the pr…

gentler Nah. Women are just more cowardly in the way they go about violence. They are more likely to use emotional violence, proxy violence, and violence against children and the elderly. This stems from physical weakness and risk aversion, not "nobility". As for Lord of the Flies, if those Survivor shows are any indication the girls wouldn't survive for very long. Feminism cannot safely be regarded as a marginal influence on UK society. Jemma Beale’s case illuminates the extent to which feminism has captured key institutions of power — the feminist head of the Criminal Prosecution Service, building an opaque network of feminists in its every branch; a prominent feminist lobbyist, now in government and chair of a disproportionately influential feminist bloc; and a feminist former Minister for Women — exploiting a weak government and uninformed public to ma…

Judges, juries and prosecutors are losing patience with rapists and murderers. Considering that false accusations can lead to decades in prison for the falsely accused it seems their attitude may be quite a bit too flippant. I mean think about this for a second. A false rape accusation is equivalent to: slander, assault (by police), forced confinement for potentially decades (by the state), and potentially rape itself in prison. It's the female equivalent of those horrific cases we sometimes hea…

(i.e. to be female / feminine is 'lesser' than it is to be male / masculine) Complete nonsense. If females were regarded as "lesser" they wouldn't be saved first during disasters, receive significantly more health care funding, and generally be pampered in every aspect of society. They are regarded as weaker because they are weaker. the treatment of gay men as lesser (whether because they're flamboyant and effeminate, or because to be penetrated is to be feminine is to be lesser, etc) Effeminate…

Don't be such a drama Queen. I understand that women sometimes get married with men who fall into hard times and go with the wrong approach (drugs, alcohol). I just find it kind of irritating that the deck is already stacked in your favor yet here you on a Men's Rights' board whining. I mean C'mon.

saying "thousand of fathers can't see their own children" isn't exactly a basis for argument. It most certainly is. In fact it would still be true even if fathers actually received de facto custody and women were the "oppressed sex." In terms of your overall argument, it is absurd. Feminists successfully prevented de facto shared custody in Florida specifically. If you are truly an exception to the rule, a unicorn, it may be because judges are starting to get pissed off that they have to keep gi…

No Florida isn't doing "surprisingly well" now. Not when thousands of fathers can't see their own children.

In my experience most feminists haven't the faintest clue what feminists have done in their name. They simply parrot the dictionary definition of the term. Read this Many people on this sub used to be feminists, including myself.

Perhaps two different versions would make sense. One just linking to the wiki and the stuff in the fourth paragraph; the other with the disclaimer about shit posts. Alternatively the mods could just delete the low effort posts, but I realize that would be a time consuming task and could run afoul of free speech issues. The occasional shit post/humor post can be fun. Must be difficult to moderate this sub.

Feminists are literally the main obstacle to men achieving equal parenting rights. There are even cases (eg in Florida) where equal parenting legislation has had strong bipartisan support as well as public support but feminists groups like NOW worked with Republican administrations to prevent reform. This prevents men from having any sort of positive gender role at all. They aren't allowed to take pride in anything, even as fathers. It is highly questionable whether feminists have ever truly cha…

You should reserve this disclaimer for posts that are low effort bullshit/clickbait. The man in the picture is clearly engaging in a lot of effort, and for a very good cause.

I don't really disagree with you and I'm not sure why you thought I did. I just objected to your claim that women are "more intellectual".

Women have always been more intellectual lol wut. biologically, women are more valuable than men Yes we're all aware of that theory. On the other hand in the absence of men women would all die in a week or two. Read James Damore's memo. I've read and don't disagree with anything in it.

slandering women/feminists! Hate to be the one to break this to you but feminists are the primary obstacle to men achieving equal parenting rights. They lobby against shared parenting and alimony reform bills.

Yeah I remember that. Sure Brenden, fathers fighting to see their children are "pathetic." I would say that it's quite possible he doesn't know much about MRA's beyond what he's been told in the media. Spiked did go on to publish a favorable review of The Red Pill.

I much prefer the individualist left like mutualism. Absolutely. There's a rich strain of individualist thought on the left that many people aren't even aware of. These voices have gradually been silenced by the feminists and SJW's, but they appear to be slowly reemerging. The anarchist Anis Shivani just wrote a blistering critique of identity politics from a leftist perspective (he even mocks the term "intersectionality"). It was published in Salon of all places. Here's a great comment from an …

Several examples have been posted on this sub. The other thing is mostly a myth though. It's based on misunderstanding of customs in countries like India, where if a man has sex with a woman it is called "rape" if he doesn't marry her. It's mostly caused by parents of the girl complaining that the man isn't doing his duty (especially if she gets pregnant).

Sorry but you talk just like a PUA pussy beggar. And like I said, guys who run around talking about how tough they are and how other guys are wimps tend to be the biggest pussies. It's like the little dog that can't stop yapping.

The two aren't mutually exclusive. For example women can be powerful in ways that men can't (eg sexually), and vice versa.

Emasculated? Heh, I'm not the one who needs to read PUA websites to get a date. Your false bravado isn't fooling anyone. You guys aren't "alpha" males, you're just insecure. Which is okay to admit. People pity you guys and rightly so. Your whole sad lives revolve around trying to please women.

The reason I am not an MRA is that I see too many of its members as being wimpy blue-pillers. You're the one who seems wimpy and scared. You're so terrified of what women think of you you won't even stand up for your own rights. Feminism is just one huge ongoing shit test and men are failing them miserably. lol no it isn't. Feminism is a creation of angry rich women who were envious of their husbands. The two other major factors were (a)technological advancement, especially the birth control pil…

Sure - but it answers your question, right? Hardly. If patriarchy theory made any sense feminism wouldn't even be a thing in the first place. It certainly wouldn't be being financed by the most powerful men in the world.
/r/MensRights03/09/17 05:28 PM

The obvious answer is that men never really "ruled the world." Women are more risk-averse so they prefer to exercise power indirectly. Feminists simply refuse to acknowledge female power and privilege because that would involve women taking responsibility for their actions.

Oneill's an interesting figure. He sort of goes back and forth between libertarianism and socialism. Sometimes he'll use terms like "class war" and the "working class" and insists he is still a leftist. However it's clear that most of his focus is on combatting the authoritarian trends of the current left. It is indeed possible to be both libertarian and leftist. Although I'm not sure where Oneill falls on the political spectrum, the word "libertarian" was first used to describe anarchists who w…

Disagree. Otherwise we become no better than feminists. However I wouldn't mind if this rule was enforced: No clickbait titles, advice animals or other low-effort image or text posts. Mods may remove these at their discretion. It's at least a step in the right direction that the current shitpost on R/all has a disclaimer linking to quality posts.

I agree it wasn't rape. It was coercive though. I'm having a difficult time coming up with actual examples.

There's a film called Disclosure written by Michael Crichton about a female boss sexually harassing one of her male employees. The current TV series Mr. Mercedes written by Stephen King portrays a mother sexually abusing her son. A recent episode of Game of Thrones shows Jamie being coerced into sex with the Queen (his sister), though he did the same to her in a previous episode. That's all I can think of.
